Leftists' agenda

I guess Italian identity really is vanishing as OP feared. Here we have their cuisine being mistaken as American.
...and Brits eat pasta for breakfast? Interesting.
Pasta for breakfast? What!!!!!
Eggs, Bacon, Chips, Tomatoes, Two-Fried-slices, black-puddin', and a mug o' tea.
English Breakfast at Sunshine Cafe. (That's a Caif, not a Cahfey.)
:p

So a handful of people propose some new, silly acronym, and it's causing you to flip your **** and dismiss an entire corner of the political spectrum?

Mama mia...

The left is not out to destroy identities, in fact, we're criticized for "celebrating diversity." Nor are we conflating social roles with 'identities'. What has us worried is the atavistic tribalism the speaker seems to covet; her fear of the multiculturalism that we must learn to deal with in a modern, civilized world.

Identity politics has a bad record: Fascism, Christian identity, the KKK, even soccer hooliganism -- all are manifestations of tribal 'identity'.

Understand that humans are psychologically wired for tribalism. For millions of years tribal cohesion and competition with neighboring hunter-gatherers was the only way to survive. Only recently has this trait become untenable and toxic. -- yet we still crave it -- some more than others. As Johnathan Haidt says: "our 'righteous minds' are designed, by evolution, to unite us into teams, and to divide us against other teams..."

When I hear a statement like "Identity is the greatest value we have" I hear Volkskörper speeches in Berlin and see tiki-torch parades through Charlottesville.

Her speech was given in the context of her new political alliance with Steve Bannon, who spoke (before she did) about EU economics, Brexit...etc.
So it was about economics...not culture. The only way to demolish the mono-class societies of socialist Europe is to create a unruly society without values, without certainties where big capitalists can manipulate the markets

I died laughing...because said by a boorish woman of Roman borgata, that sounds even funnier

The left is so into capitalism nowadays...at least they are if you listen to Italian neo-fascists.

When I see a right-wing homosexual, I find it interesting and endearing. It's just not expected. ( But fascism is definitely too far to the right.)

In Britain right wing homosexuals are common enough.
And it seems fascism (or a facsimile in action if not in name) is on the rise.
