How many people have read the Lemony Snickett series? If you did, what did you think of it and did you feel it was appropriate for children?

It reminds me of Edward Gory's "The Loathsome Couple"...which my children discovered when they were around 7 or 8. My 12 year old and I have been reading the Snickett series and he loves them!

There are at least 11. They were out of print for awhile and now, because of the movie, they're printing them again. I don't know if there are only 11 or if that's all they've put in print so far.

The baptist sites on the internet call them "subversive". :D
