Allthough I think Benny Hinn is one of the worst of his kind.

Benny Hinn originated his ministry here in the Orlando area. His "Faith World" is less than five minutes away from my house. I have met him only once and I was immediately taken back by his arrogance. He had two preemie babies at Florida Hospital here in Orlando. He was incredibly imperious with the nurses charged with their care and often interupted their duties during non-visiting hours. Demanding that they change the channel of the radio playing in the background (once changing it himself) and demanding that a particular nurse have no contact with one since she was too fat were two of the many stunts that he pulled. My wife was there and often came home shocked at the lack of compassion this man displayed toward the staff AND his kids.

Babies are born premature for several reasons. I am not a medical doctor, but it is my opinion that their frenetic family life possibly induced early labor in his wife TWICE. From my limited interaction and the interactions I have heard about second hand, I must admit that I have no respect for this man.

For those who can not see the video, it depicts an emotionally charged scene where Hinn "slays" the faithful in a quasi religious experience. When touched or pointed to (his power is allegedly so "great" that he no longer has to touch them) his followers fall to the ground in a quivering heap. For additional information on this mass hallucination that is called being "Slain in the Spirit", just Clicky, clicky!

His show was given the thumbs down symbol in the local TV program last week along with Home Shopper (2-4am) version. Probably because it isn't funny enough. Letting the bodies hit the floor might make him even more popular in that regard.
