Latest update from her mother is that she is in stable condition. I began crying Friday when I read the news of her cardiac arrest. It really hit me hard. I know that she is a stranger to me; but, it has upset me quite a bit. Memories of her as Princess Leia stretch back to me as a child. It may sound silly to some; but, she, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford are almost part of my family. The idea that this world may soon be without Carrie breaks my heart.

Let us all send healing thoughts and prayers to her for a speedy and full recovery! Mighty Apollo, great god of healing, please drive sickness from Carrie Fisher's body. Please heal her heart and protect her from brain damage. Let her be reunited with her daughter in good health.

I am sad that she passed away. I know my words are insufficient to change Fate when it has been set. I have no regret for wishing and praying that her time of death could have been delayed. We all die, nothing can prevent that ultimately. I lack the ability to heal damaged hearts. All I can do is hold out hope that maybe she may have had more time. Unfortunately, not my call. Everyone dies. Makes it no less sad. Maybe your post is meant to mock me praying that she may recover, maybe that is not your intent at all. Regardless, I was moved by sadness and compassion for Carrie Fisher. I am not a heart doctor, there is no surgery I could have performed that would have changed anything. If I had the knowledge to do treatment, and in lieu of that I simply prayed and then called it a day, you would be free to mock me as much as you like.

Whatever, though. I wish you well.

I keep hearing how may guys thought she was hot.
I never saw her that way.
Sure, sure....she had some big swaying sweater puppies (usually taped down).
But my thoughts were about her being a more compelling actor than most in that series.
She was able to make a role come alive in a way which was better than the lines she was given.
Some of her ad libbing should've made it into the movies too.

I hope she takes this as positive commentary.

Anyone else remember Carrie as the crazy ex in the Blues Brothers? Another great role from her. She also is a great writer. Checkout her books if you ever get a chance and are looking for a funny and irreverent woman who never shied away from laughing at herself. A truly wonderful person and an amazing artist.
