No, it doesn't. But all Hindu gods, at not that much depth, are indeed genderless. In my view, the anthropomorphic versions are attempts at representing certain energy flows of the universe.Does the word Brahma mean genderless?
Yes Brahman I meantThis is Brahma:

He is a Hindu creation deity.
He is gendered; male.
You may be thinking of Brahman. This is a more complicated version of divinity, and is said to be genderless.
Brahman doesn't mean genderless. Nirguna Brahman (Brahman without qualities/attributes) is genderless. Brahman manifests as deities (Saguna Brahman) and appears to have gender.Yes Brahman I meantThis is Brahma:Does the word Brahma mean genderless?

Interesting topic. Can't wait to read through the thread. Thanks.Looking over the religious threads, a fair amount of them are about Jesus or Christianity.
It seems unbalanced.
Let's talk about Shiva for awhile instead.
What do you know about him that feels relevant? What would you like to know about him? What's a favorite story about him? (Or other related questions or comments.)

I like the story where he lops off Ganeshas head.
In this case it see it as how very human everyone in the story is. It's an entertaining story (Hindu does have many of them), and minus the divine powers and abilities it's definitely things we can see humans doing.More common than one might think among the Gods. Chopping some God up to create the world ... chopping some God up to create humans. Now we are talking about the real history of the Gods.
Please advise me. How did you come to that understanding? So saguna is a creator and nirguna is beyond that. Gotcha @SalixIncendium
