I never said these people were trans, I said they looked like women to me and when I said this was the men's room, they said they were men so I took their word for it.

Oh please. I have never in my life met a man so effeminate anyone would mistake them for a woman, let alone more then once as you imply. Nor are most people rude enough to ask a stranger their gender. You are absolutely making this up.

I notice you didn't answer the majority of my post, which says everything by your silence.

But not having to make some qualifying statement upon entry....right?
Just be sure when you challenge someone's identity that you aren't
harassing women who merely appear too butch.

My philosophy in lavatories is simple.
I mind my own goddam business,
& let others mind theirs.
I'm not talking about lavatories; I'm talking about shower facilities where no matter how butch you look, if you have female sex organs nobody is gonna mistake you for a dude.

So because YOU have never seen it, therefore it does not exist; right? Wrong!!!
Second; I never said anything about an effeminate man. It only happened twice, and each time I’ve seen this it was someone I suspected to be a lesbian woman. The fact that each time they came out of the stall; they probably were lesbian women, but they looked butch enough to pass for a guy.

I was never rude about it; each time nobody else was there, and when I saw them I apologized thinking I mistakenly went into the ladies room, turned around and headed for the door; and he said it was the men’s room and that he was a guy

I probably didn’t think it was worth answering, however if you ask again, I will be sure to respond to whatever point you were trying to make

The rest of your questions are all based on your fantasy that some how trans people didn't use bathrooms before 2010.
It seems, for some reason I've not found yet, many RWers think it a started around the time when the DSM V was published and chamged Gender Identity Disorder to Gender Dysphoria. Worse yet and more concerning I've even seen some LW allies repeat the same bit of misinformation (though far fewer).
It was like I was telling someone about the author of an article, despite the authors claims there is absolutely no way she pioneered trans care because it was pioneered over 100 years ago in Germany.
Come to think of it/that reminds me I've also seen the believe that it all started very recently with the new word of Gender Affirming Care.
It's like pointing out the very ancient beginnings of Egypt to Biblical Literalist who thinks the Earth is 6 to 10 thousand years old.

But it was not legal. Now it became legal. Are you aware it became legal?
not by executive order

Here is a link of it happening in my city
https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/4674hz Man caught undressing in front of girls at Green Lake locker room

The man broke the law and should have been arrested. The law in question states that transgender people can use the bathrooms and locker rooms of the gender they identify with. He isn't trans and doesn't identify as a woman, he did this as a publicity stunt to promote hate.

I will say this again.

I do not start out slurring other posters, as you've just done here. I hope to debate ideas.

With that said, I'm often on the receiving end of a LOT of slurs on this forum and there comes a point at which I will retaliate.

But other than that you are simply wrong. I do NOT initiate slurs on other posters.
"Lots of posters here seem unable to discuss the "trans" topic without resorting to slurs and strawman arguments and such."

if gender is something that could mean different things to different people, how can it be an effective way of describing someone ?
attractiveness means different things to different people yet somehow we manage to use the word to describe people all the time

as I posted earlier Rebecca Philips did just that. or at least she tried very hard to

In case you forgot, I said this caused businesses to post that trans women are allowed into female spaces. On post #166 you asked for evidence that this was true. Whether it was executive order or not is irrelevant. I think you’ve got the evidence you asked for.

Can you prove he did not identify as a woman? If not; my point stands.

I asked how does a naked woman with FEMALE sex organs not pass the glance test in the locker room, and you responded with a example of a naked man with MALE sex organs who didn’t pass the glance test. IOW your Rebecca Philips response did not address my question.

People, stop engaging him and repeating the same questions. He's not a good faith actor and you're not going to change anything,
Yup. It's a transphobic rant that doesn't know night from day about the subject and shifts goalposts a d changing the story accordingly.

Transphobes don't care. Many years ago I heard from a transwoman who passed while a bigot berrated a cis women he thought was trans, claiming he knows all about trans because of Jerry Springer.

Not nearly as often as I (and other trans people here) get from you and those like you. We're not stupid. You can't directly misgender us but indirectly it's a bombardment of it along with how we've created a serious safety issue for women.
Never mind the fact its heavily and mostly men here doing that, while ciswomen are telling you they're ok with transwomen in women's spaces so there's a layer of misogyny as well.

Why is the T in the same category as the LG&B? The LG&B is about who you are sexually attracted to, but the T is about what you identify as; which is completely different. Am I missing something here? Your thoughts?
Have you tried thinking about what those groups all have in common? Like, belonging to a category that goes explicitly against traditional views of gender roles?

No?

Maybe try that.

OK.

Do you realize that this gigantic problem that so
worries Magas is really about the possibility that
a female might glimpse a wiener in a shower?
Something so rare, that isn't an assault, but merely
offends sensibilities isn't worth all this gnashing
of teeth, & inflaming ignorant knuckle walkers to
harass innocent people just taking a trip to the loo.

At least Jerry Springer is no longer with us.
