Hi,

I'm new here.

Mostly what I have to say about religion is, I don't get it. I can remember as early as five or six sitting in church and thinking, "and adults believe this stuff, why?'' I'm in my fifties and I still haven't come up with a good answer to that question.

Welcome to the forum....

I'm a life long atheist too. People seem to find solace in their way of life.

I was born and raised, and remained a staunch atheist for decades- thinking 'why do they believe that stuff' until I began asking 'why do I believe this stuff'

i.e. it's about your personal belief- not others, what do you believe and why? if you have never shared others' beliefs- it's very difficult to really know their reasons isn't it?- . And so it's very easy to dismiss as 'no good reason' or worse and close your mind to it. That's certainly what I had done for so long. And I certainly think I 'get it' now, which came through focusing less on critiquing others beliefs, than my own.

Welcome aboard :D

Don't worry too much. If you don't understand it well, just keep living normally and enjoy your life. I believe no religion would hold a thing against people if they don't understand it well.

I personally take religion as a way of life, not just for spirituality. I think this is why I'm happy with it :)
