Lightworking

Sirona

Hindu Wannabe
I've been interested in lightworking for a while now. On Ebay I found offers for long distance initiation into whatever god you can think of, fee-based of course. I also read about ascended masters, which in many cases are gods from whatever religion, usually taken out of their respective context for one's convenience. I also read two books by Doreen Virtue, a book by Rhea Powers (German title "Call to the Lightworkers") and I keep reading The Jeshua Channelings by Pamela Kribbe.

I like the tone of Pamela Kribbe's channelings, but I noticed that she keeps telling especially to those who are not in the best of (mental) health that they are oh so special. A common trait I found in the books of Virtue and Powers and on Kribbe's website is the recommendation that first you are supposed to let your own light shine and then help others, usually by becoming a counsellor.

If we had really such a special awakening we should have armies of counsellors now. And much less problems. I understand that everybody has to do a job to win their bread, but don't you think that there may be a tendency in esoteric counselling to exploit human vulnerability? And are people really to lazy to pray themselves, buying the blessing of the god they like from an esoteric counsellor instead?
