Lindsey Graham's remark regarding Dr. Ford

Lindsey Graham on Christine Blasey Ford: "This is what happens when you go through a trailer park with a $100 bill."

Most trailer parks tend to consist of rural, working class whites who typically vote republican, so It's kind of silly that he would disparage a large portion of his own party's voter base like that.

Victim blaming grossness aside, the current right demographic seem to be immune to the classism and poor-hating their representatives have. And he probably knows that.

Victim blaming needs to stop, this mentality is dangerous and harmful.

You fell for it! Senator Graham was just quoting James Carville, Bill Clinton’s strategist who said this to cover Clinton’s numerous sexual misconduct episodes during the 1990s.

They are just not living in an emotionally outraged state of constant victimization. They can take a joke. :D

Anyway, it was a Clinton rip, so kudos to Mr. Graham for poking the bear and fooling the rubes. :D

Wikiquote agrees with you.
(I vaguely remembered it.)

Was Graham quoting Carville?

It's always good to do a little research on controversial claims, lest one risk repeating fake news.

The left is still getting fooled by fake news, I see.
But are they being fooled, or intentionally running with a mischievous inference?
Some are undoubtedly just falling for the tricks of others.
It would be easy to believe, being so attractive.

That is exactly what I think about the right.

For what it is worth (not much), the original quote by Carville is

"if you drag a $100 bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find"

...which is probably why Carville originated the insult towards Bill Clinton's accusers.

This should've been a clue that the remark wasn't about Ford....a professor at Palo Alto.
That's the high rent district. The trailer park reference wouldn't make any sense.

Carville....has he endured any criticism for his insulting the victims?
Or for the (one could say) elitist view that lower working class women are even less credible?
It's ironic that Graham is being criticized for the sin of Carville's which Graham was criticizing.

Despite being hoodwinked, I stand by my statement and if it was used to help pardon Clinton, it still applies.

Still, you took the high road in your response.
Stop that!
One thing that has really helped me cope with political discussion is to quit letting double standards cloud my judgement. I find I care less about the color of the tie and worry more about the topic at hand, political identity aside. It makes for a less stressful discussion, despite some prodding from @Mister Emu over there. :D

Our justice system is based on innocent until proven guilty. This is an objective system since one needs to supply proof that is objective and verifiable. Science works this way. You need to supply proof for your claim to be accepted. Science is not about being a good guy or gal or been gable to juggle and sing.

In the case of Professor Brown, she supplies no proof. One is expected to make a judgment of her accusation, based on the subjective rules of PC, even though there is no proof. If she said perpetual motion was possible and supplies no proof, we need to believe her since she seems vulnerable and honest. This is not science. That is not personal but applies to all. Those who buy into this probably think the TV doctor is more real, than a real doctor.

I trace this affect back to the quota system. The quota system was not based on simply removing restrictions of the past, while retaining a merit system. It was based on punishing the present for the past and compensating the present for the past, regardless of merit. There was a realty disconnect. One had to put aside any level of objectivity, based on direct cause and affect and/or merit, and go along with the subjective idea of retroactive guilt and retribution, where one can be punished for something you never did, and/or rewarded of something that happened before you were born. At the same time, merit and proof had no role.

Kavanaugh is being treated like a quota system scapegoat, who needs to be sacrificed to appease the gods of retroactive guilt and anger. In the human sacrifices of the past, they would often sacrifice virgins or the innocence, since it was furtherest from their angry gods, The high priests felt it would get the most browny points with their angry gods. This is not rational.

Objectify, based on proof and merit is better in the long run. My hope is the political pressured being exerted by PC and fake news, does not cause the Republicans to go along with the human sacrifice. This violates the first commandment. They need to stay modern and stick to proof. The Democrats want to see blood. They are an angry religion due to being led down unnatural paths by shady leadership.
