Living in the hope

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
Right now I sitting down and ponder about how to react to the Afghanistan situation......
As a pasifist i do not want to take part on supporting either sides of the conflict, but in same time i can not watch the Afghanistan people suffer anymore either.
I will never support the new "government" in Afghanistan because their value are so far from what I my self see as a right path in life.
But I can not support the war that the west did for many years either.

I am question my self about the Taliban way of believing in Islam and sharia law, and their way honestly do not look ok, just look at the past.

Even for me, it is very difficult to not feel spme form of hate toward what happen in Afghanistan right now. But as of today there has not been terror or evil killing of civilians as far as I am aware of this time.

But unfortunatly i do not believe fully that it won't come, I fear for Afghans lifes.

So what to do?

What has become clear is that the Afganistan government was simply a hollow shell shored up by the US and had no actual support. It just evaporated in a space of a few weeks after getting billions of dollars of funding for building of millitary and infrastructure. The Taliban is and remains the only legitimate power in Afganistan despite having very little external support apart from Pakistan. They have a horrible ideology, but that is what is popular among the Afghan clans and tribes. Hence there is nothing much that can be done from outside apart from stopping them from exporting their terrorism and ideology outside Afghan borders. That can be easily be done without having troops from an external country on the ground (drones, counter-intelligence etc.). If 20 years did not change minds, its not possible .

Also they should not get nuclear weapons from Pakistan....

The only other option is a full UN backed war of extermination and colonization by a large alliance of countries with the idea that the Taliban are too dangerous to exist (like Nazi Germany). We are not there yet.

I can not support war.
God does not support war either....his son showed us that loving our neighbor was the mark of a worshipper of the true God. I believe that he is well aware of the situation and that all the evil perpetrated on this earth, especially atrocities committed in the name of God, will be accounted for.

Barbaric, blood thirsty attitudes have no place in this 21st century.....these men, and all who support racially or religiously bigoted leaders, need to understand that might does not make right. And that violence has never solved mankind's problems.

You cannot force religion on people because that is not what God requires. Mindless performance and a record of brutality will never gain God's favor. They will find out to their cost that "man’s anger does not bring about God’s righteousness". (James 1:20)

The Taliban is in reality a patchwork of tribal allegiances. It's not a given, that such an alliance of warlords and brigands will be able to hold sway in the country for any great length of time.

We have to hope, and for those of us so inclined pray, that a more tolerant form of self government emerges from within Afghanistan. What should be clear by now, is that no long term solution can be imposed through armed occupation by the US and it's allies.

People have lived in these kinds of countries for thousands of years without interference from outside sources who “know better”.
They will continue to live.

There is plenty of tragedy and suffering in western countries today as well.
I fear for the lives of millions in the US right now. There is great evil within its population, and backwards government policies designed to enrich a few while millions live in poverty.
