Yeah, look at them going around desperately like idiots. They have no clue what's coming haha!

I caught them with a cast net for bait, but dunno why they ended up in the freezer. Ultimately they will end up in my stomach of course.

What? Me worry?
I understand that fish have about a five second attention span. Don't feel sorry for them, they have more new experiences in a minute than most of us have in a month.

I am an aquarium enthusiast. Do you fish in freshwater or saltwater? Were these intended to be bait for catching larger fish? And you decided to just eat the bait? Is there such thing as halal fish?

It was from salt waters. They were intended as bait for larger fish, but this kind turned out to be soft that the hook doesn't hold them well. It's weird, since I thought it should be kinda tough being fresh.

Generally speaking, all fishery is halal. Fish do not need a ritual like slaughter for cattle to be eaten. As long as it is not potentially harmful or rotten (two general rules in consumables), it is halal no matter what.

Since I eat meat rarely and fish often, that means I'm 95%+ halal-certified? :D

How did they taste? And what did you eat them with?

I usually eat these guys when I eat fish:

I didn't eat them yet. Didn't have the time :(

Haven't had those two types before. They seem to be fresh water fish and here we don't have those. But they look tasty :D

It's good to know if I ever have a Muslim guest, they won't be offended if I offer them fish.

I'm afraid it slightly depends. For some reason some or all of the shia sect/sub-sects among all sects in Islam don't eat all sea food. They don't eat fish that does not have scales, and crustaceans except for shrimp. But if the Muslim is at least not shia, then there is nothing to worry about.

Yummy!!!
My normal tends to be white bass, crappie, or catfish. Sometimes some perch or drum.

Thanks man. Oh it is halal, no worries: "Hunting and food of the sea is allowed for you and travelers as provision" (part of Quran 5:96).

It means that all sea foods by default are allowed to eat.
