I'm a former fundamentalist Christian who deconverted because of issues that relate specifically to Christianity: an eternal Hell, lack of evidence for the resurrection, the trinity not making sense, rigidness and conspiracies, and so on. I believe in one God, who is completely perfect in every way and is imminent both out and inside of creation. I believe that everyone will be saved and that the religious life fundamentally comes from purifying the heart. What is a religion that may fit my beliefs?

The Unitarians with a more humanist , or the Baha'i Faith with a more Theist view. They both have a more universal inclusive view of belief. I believe the main problem with ancient religions is they have a tribal exclusive view of the world beyond their belief. I seek a more universal perspective of the relationship between humanity and God. In my life I remain close to Buddhist and Zen, and practiced the Arts of the Way (Martial Arts) most of my adult life. I never called my self a Buddhist, because Buddha never pointed to himself he simply pointed.

Regardless of your search do not look for the shoes, or ah . . . sandals that fit.

For me, who had almost identical issues with my former Church, I went looking for God in all the places I thought he may be hiding, both inside Christendom and outside of it....but the last place I thought to look was the place I found him....or should I say...he found me. I was completely lost but open...or I thought I was. The truth often hides in strange places.

Like Jesus said, his true disciples were going to be "hated", not for all the wrong stuff that they were doing and believing, but for being like Christ...following in his footsteps. (John 15:19-21)
Just as Jesus was 'out of step' with a corrupt religious system in his day, so he is again 'out of step' with an equally corrupt religious system today.

I would say all of Gods religions would suit you. The important key is to sort out what God has said, over what people say God has said.

We are one people under One God, who has come in many names. All the best with your search.

Welcome to the forum, I'm a big lover of Zen (alongside Mahayana and Vajrayana).

Your views are fascinating, I tend to believe similar myself although not under the same kind of pretext.
God anyway is the All-in-All, the Absolute, the Ineffable, the Ground of All Phenomena.
As for salvation, I think as with time itself being eternally present, the notion of salvation in regards to the day of judgement is also in the present.

What you've said in your intro though could apply to quite a few potential religions/traditions (and basically all estoteric traditions as well).

No eternal hell found at www.jw.org
Biblical hell comes to a final end in a symblic ' second death ' for emptied-out hell/ grave.
I wonder what is meant by 'evidence' for the resurrection ____________
No trinity doctrine found at www.jw.org
Only God was 'before' the beginning - Psalms 90:2
So, pre-human Jesus was 'in' the beginning (Rev.3:14) but Jesus was never ' before ' the beginning as his God was ' before ' the beginning.....

Scripture teaches the imperfect heart is treacherous at Jeremiah 17:9; 10:23.
Scripture teaches the wicked will be destroyed forever - Psalms 92:7; Psalms 145:20.
This is why 2 Peter 3:9 says to ' repent ' if one does Not want to ' perish ' ( perish meaning be destroyed )

So, I suppose it depends if you want a Bible based religion or a personal self-styled religion __________

This isn't really me recommending that you become a Satanist, but Satanists have a lot of material to help deprogram ex-fundies. Here's a link to one of those resources:

Theistic Satanists from hardcore Christian backgrounds

Don't feel the need to do anything you aren't comfortable with, but the rites of blasphemy can be very liberating. It can help you transition into new religious thought, too, whatever that new religion might be.

Since you reject Christianity I guess you have many other places from which to choose.

Good luck!

There are many different religions and groups that might be what you're looking for.

But are you looking for a religion or a spiritual belief?

Depending, some of the groups under the Hindu umbrella might be what you're looking for. Or Chisti Sufism, Meher Baba, Noahide Judaism and so forth.

I took this test myself...

Turns out my preferred religion is Liberal Quakerism.

The follow up religions don't seem to fit though:
91% Unitarian Universalism
90% Mahayana Buddhism]
87% Taoism
84% Reformed Judaism
82% Liberal Christian Protestantism
82% Neo-Paganism
77% Sikhism
77% Atheism
70% Conservative Christian Protestant
70% Theravada Buddhism
70% Secular Humanism

The religion I am least compatible with ironically is Jehovah's Witnesses :tearsofjoy:

I always come up as a secular humanist. Which seems to mean 'oh, you're kind of a nice atheist'.

But I'm more secularist than humanist in my beliefs. Somewhat humanist in my actions, I guess.

Only the best people eh?

Me too.

Finding a religion to fit your beliefs may be fairly common but does not seem to be a good way to find the truth or the Kingdom of God. You could always just have a personal religion of your own without having to worry about believing what someone else has said.
