Lost connection....

I feel like I am on the internet with God and I get to IMing him and I loose connection. Sometimes i can get back on pretty fast and others I feel it takes months to fix it! I just don't know how to bring myself closer! I feel so alone! It hurts!!

Hey Hannah, it is the same way with me, if that makes you feel any better to know. Not to say that I would ever give up my belief in God, but at times I feel so lost and feel that I will never truly "find" Him. I have come to believe that that is His way of bringing us closer to Him, a way to test our spirit. We can be spritually strong and remain faithful unto God, alowing Him to refine us as only He can, or we can lose all faith in Him. Remember that even Jesus, in the flesh, felt despair, for He called out unto God, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" And we know that when all was said and done, God most certainly had not fosaken His beloved Son, for He rose again on the third day.:yes:

The connection is always open God's end.

The problem is with us... all of us...
Our daily distractions... problems ...fears ... dislikes and doubts..
All weaken our end of the line.

Don't think this is unusual or Just you.

So,How do you strengthen the connection...?
By using it...If it is very weak it takes time to come back.
Prayer... the Bible... Love...thinking about what God wants us to do.
Living this life in love of others.

Faith in God is like the sea it is rarely constant... it ebbs and flows... But is is always there.
some times you Just have to wait awhile, in sure hope, for the tide to turn.

Wow, Hannah. I can feel your desire. I share it. That is something special. I wish you good luck in your efforts. I believe that the fact that you desire a connection with God is the important thing. Ask and ye shall recieve, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. I really like this scripture: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Notice there's no handle on the door. Only we can let him in. When God seems absent from my life, I always find it is me who has shut him out somehow.
