I study Middle and Old English, as well as Mediaeval French. Should be a breeze :sob:
What I find challenging about texts like this is understanding them well also demands understanding the context within which they were created. Maybe that's getting too scholarly and academic about it, but it's also true that written works are very much products of their times. The Mabinogion is especially weird since we only have it because of Christian scribes throughout the centuries, but it is believed to reflect much earlier oral storytelling traditions that we don't really have any direct evidence of (e.g., things like the Mabinogion are the best we've got). So there's the challenge of peeling out the Christianization of some of the translation and presentation to try and understand the indigenous Pagan tradition upon which it was built.

I leave that to other folks, honestly... haha.

That is my main desire and goal :D As a Mediaevalist Brit, I feel it is my life's work.

I'd love to know more about the Mabinogion and overall Welsh mythology, but I assume the texts would be too hard for me to read.
Nice sleeve, would be great to hear more opinions on the book.
