Macron refuses to appoint socialist Prime Minister

To me democratic is when most people vote for the right-wing...and the PM will be a rightist PM.
:)
Only in the following two circumstances:

1. the right wing has more then 50%
OR
2. the right wing with less then 50% is able to form a coalition with other parties to get to more then 50 % and all partners of that coalition agree on said PM as part of that coalition agreement.

This is basic democracy 101.

Dear monsieur...
Meloni was elected by the Italian people. That's democracy.

There is something incredibly twisted and fraudulent about the French electoral system.

Because at the European elections Marine Le Pen won.
Few weeks later, at the Parliamentary elections, the Popular Front won.

It's not normal.
Nothing fraudulent about it.....

It just means the french who voted for Le Pen for Europe agreed with her ideas concerning europe while not agreeing with her ideas for france.

Nothing mysterious about it........................

I did it too in Belgium.
I actually voted for different parties on 3 different levels: communal, federal and european.

Off course, I don't just blindly vote for an ideology. I actually inform myself on the plans these people have for the elections they run for.
So I looked at the candidates for communal and what they wanted to do and made my decision based on that.
I did the same for federal and european.

I don't merely vote for a general ideology or the color of someone's eyes or the size of someone's breasts.

Frankly I'm a little judgemental about people who do it any other way, as I find that to be irresponsible.

Bravo.
Knowing the Italian people, I think that they profoundly hate the financial and banking élites who infest the buildings of Brussels.
An indescribable hatred.
So they elected someone from the people, someone who was born in a working class neighborhood of Rome. Meloni.

You say "bravo", as if you agree... but in the previous post you called it "fraudulent".

Once again, the topic wasn't Meloni.

You seem to have problems keeping your focus....

The topic is the technocratic élites who infest the buildings of Brussels. :)
So Macron should appoint a leftist, a socialist PM and not Mr. technocracy.

No, that wasn't the topic either.

Now you are moving on to yet another obsession of your which once again has nothing to do with the topic.

Oh well..............

You can't seem to decide on a topic as you are all over the place.
The topic here is: why Macron elected a technocrat and not a socialist PM.

You cannot discuss technocrats because you worship them, by chance?
You change topics more then someone with germ phobia washes his hands
I do have that phobia. I wash my hands 50 times a day.
Especially after I touch the elevator buttons.

The topic here is: why Macron elected a technocrat and not a socialist PM.

I don't really follow french politics. I don't know these people.
My question is: was there anything illegal about this appointment?

This guy now has the task of attempting to form a government. If he succeeds, he succeeds, if he fails then he fails and someone else will have to be appointed.

What's the problem?

You cannot discuss technocrats because you worship them, by chance?

I don't even know what you mean by that. Nor do I care, frankly.
Try answering the questions above.

Then don't reply to threads about French politics.
My question is: was there anything illegal about this appointment?
It is legal but undemocratic.
Even absolutism was legal but undemocratic...and the French took the Bastille, and rightfully so.

This guy now has the task of attempting to form a government. If he succeeds, he succeeds, if he fails then he fails and someone else will have to be appointed.
If he succeeds, it means that the French Left has betrayed the French people.
What's the problem?
Being a populist, I side with the people. Not with technocrats.
I don't even know what you mean by that. Nor do I care, frankly.

I answer all your questions. You refuse to answer mine.
Wanna bet?
Answer this question: do you side with technocrats? Yes or no.
