Magazines

I recently received in the mail, courtesy of my dear parents, the new issue of Skeptic magazine. I can't wait to read this baby! :woohoo:

It's just too bad that it only comes out quarterly... :(

I also have a subscription to PC Gamer. It's a damn fine mag, damn fine.

Anywho, what kinds of magazines do you like to read? To which magazines do you have subscriptions? (Frubals to anyone who says Skeptic magazine...painted wolf, I'm looking at you...)

I'm skeptical about magazine subscriptions. Does that count? I gave up hope on ever having Ed McMahon show up at my door and stopped getting subscriptions.

I read: Bead and Button, Beadstyle, Beadwork and Art Jewelry magazine. I would also read Wire Artist Gazette, however it's not available here, and I don't have $130 laying about the place that I can justify spending on a magazine subscription.:149:

I'm sensing a theme...can't quite put my finger on it yet.

Well,

the MAIN theme is cheap. I only pay for one of those magazines (SI) and it's the one I DON'T read. Trying to get them to halt the subscription (which started out as free) is nigh to impossible. GRRRR!

I normally just purchase what I want, since normally I can't expect to have a story I want in every magazine lol. However, since I'm having trouble getting my comics, I'm sorely tempted to start setting aside a little cash for subscribing to them again :D.

I rarely buy a magazine (The habits of a life time of living frugally); I have bought computer magazines in the past, but I have all the software I could ever want. So, Mr_Spinkles,I won' t be getting fruballed for reading the skeptic's magazine!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Actually, my mom gets a kick out of it....but then, she's not really religious. In fact, I wonder now whether or not she is Christian. My Dad seems to just ignore it.

Lets see here...

Skeptic Mag.
Scientific American
Horse Illustrated
Practical Horseman
Chronicle of the Horse (Comes out every week! Woohoo!)
USA Equestrian
US Eventing Association
Pony Club Mag.
Young Rider National Team Newsletter
US Equestrian Federation Quarterly (results!)

Most of these magazines come from my many organization memberships. It's a lot, but I usually am able to read them all cover to cover.

I subscribe to Skeptic Magazine! *checks cover while fellow posters' heads explode from the cognitive trouble of trying to associate that with Feathers* No, wait! It's ToyFare. My bad, sorry! (The magazine does sound interesting, though!)

I don't actually subscribe to many of these, but my local comic book store has a 'hold list', where they put the comics you like in a file when they arrive, and you pick them up when you drop by the store.

"Uncanny X Men"
"Nightcrawler"
"X Men Unlimited"
"Anime Insider"
"Wizard" magazine (articles about comics, not wizards)
"ToyFare"
"Ultimate X Men"
"eXiles"
... and pretty much any comic that has Nightcrawler in it. I wish there was a place that listed in which comics your favorite character would be appearing in that month, since it's getting hard to keep track.

Now that you've probably sensed a bit of a theme with those, the other actual magazines I enjoy
are "SageWoman" and "PanGaia."
