Making sense of the Pandemic

You've proven yourself to be far less than reliable therefore I need evidence before believing anything you say.

Just because you post something does not make it factual.
Not that I mind spoon-feeding, but this is really basic stuff, and anyone can look it up.

That's how extreme Christians talk, though.
You can manipulate anything from history to bolster your ideas about Jesus
If you start with the real history behind the Baptists actions, and take it from there, historically, you end up with a totally different story.
I don't follow Catholic or Baptist or other people's folly or example generally. They all need to check out with the department of weights and measures (Scripture).

I can find nothing in the bible that mentions mansions hundreds of miles up. So post your evidence...

Or you have no evidence and made it up like most of which you post.

Hey! Dad! Making sense of the Pandemic?
An obvious anser to that, clear as day, that everybody can see from anywhere in the world? Obviously truthful response?

Greta Thurnberg's God, whoever that is!
Greta has called for a clean World, true?
Well, Satellite images of the World show a much cleaner atmosphere, because the aircraft are grounded, the mills running low, the motorways have less traffic, many countries in lock down.

And of course, since a majority of the more extreme Christians in the US do seem to be GOP or Republican types, capitalists mostly, their greedy economy which t.he real Jesus would have despised is being somewhat trashed at this time.

Greta can show some results, far beyond any God that I know.

Yeah. Look-see! Sense in the Pandemic....... but not yours. :

Interesting coincidence. Hey Dad! was a really bad 80's Australian sitcom.

I'm assuming Mother Earth.

Blimey! Another Oz! :D
You keep off Bondi Beach, now!
You're not allowed anywhere near all them gorgeous young bathers in their bikinis. 2 meter rule!

Well.......... that's what my wife is telling me just now. :p

I'm 4 hours or so from Bondi, or maybe only 3 now, not a lot of traffic about these days. And I gave the beach away years ago, got sick of Greenpeace choppers hovering over me and people trying to drag me back into the water.

Ok, look at the last two chapters in the bible. When you see the 'cubits' that is the old term. The modern equivalent is 1500 miles. That is 1500 miles high long and wide, or about half the size of the continental USA for the base. It is made of transparent gold and has those famous gates of pearl. (This is why people talk about the pearly gates). Back in the gospels, Jesus said that in His place were many mansions. That should do it.

If the plague was here as a result of the aforementioned reasons, that would seem to make sense that one of the first casualties of the event was the medical system.
The only reasons you mentioned were gender/sex related. That seems a rather tiny set of problems compared to stuff like Christians wallowing in wealth while many of God's children suffer severely for lack of essentials like potable water, nutrition, housing, health care, and education.

Or the destruction of our life sustaining biosphere. While Christians insist that it doesn't matter how much damage we do, The Second Coming of Jesus is about to happen anyway.

Or the Christians who voted for a president famous for his greed, deceit, and adultery. Because that President promised to Wall out the poor and make the rich richer.

Seriously?
You think that Covid19 is God's judgment on sex change or abortion, and not the corruption of Western Christian culture?
I don't.

While flying in a jet?

Well, Satellite images of the World show a much cleaner atmosphere, because the aircraft are grounded, the mills running low, the motorways have less traffic, many countries in lock down.

Egypt may have looked that way too, who knows. The hearts of people are what need to be clean though. Otherwise, the planet will also be dirty.

And of course, since a majority of the more extreme Christians in the US do seem to be GOP or Republican types, capitalists mostly, their greedy economy which t.he real Jesus would have despised is being somewhat trashed at this time.
Won't argue on that one. I would point out though that the demoncratic party all support baby-killing to a man. (and every other filthy thing one could think of) It seems apparent that the dems are not exactly poor either.

Greta can show some results, far beyond any God that I know.

Those results are....?

Killing babies is not gender-related is it? Gong!
Or the destruction of our life sustaining biosphere.
God is our life sustainer! He will remake the filthy planet that sinners have destroyed. There will be food for all, and peace. Lots of water, despite the wicked having probably poisoned the waters on earth with nukes and etc. Neither will any demonic killers be murdering babies anymore.
Any animals or birds that are or will go extinct God will reintroduce probably. That whole save the planet thing is a crock. Man cannot save himself. The fallen nature of man IS the problem. Not the solution.

While Christians insist that it doesn't matter how much damage we do, The Second Coming of Jesus is about to happen anyway.
They should be respectful of nature, Regardless of what they or anyone else does though, this planet is doomed. The only way to save the planet is when Jesus returns.

Or the Christians who voted for a president famous for his greed, deceit, and adultery. Because that President promised to Wall out the poor and make the rich richer.
Don't want to divert into US politics here.

Seriously?

I think IF this pestilence is a judgment from God, that (as the OP stated) it is a result of cumulative sins and wickedness finally reaching a level that cannot be ignored any longer. Yes, I do find killing babies and in your face proud sodom lifestyle promotion and leading children into hellish sex-change procedures is partically repulsive and evil.

How about a verse or two to narrow the search.

Back in the gospels, Jesus said that in His place were many mansions. That should do it.

John 14:2? My copy says rooms but I see there are various translations... rooms, dwellings, mansions, lodgings. I'm no expert in ancient Greek so have no idea but after reading a few commentaries I wouldn't be holding out much hope of a mansion but I can see how you might hope for a mansion.

Yes, we could use rooms, but a room in the golden city of God would be far better than any mansion on earth. I think mansion is a good translation.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones.

So the city is fifteen hundred miles long wide and high. The wall all around the city is made of diamond, sapphire, rubies, emerald, etc and stretches over 6000 miles long and is about 230 feet high. The gates of pearl are in the wall, three gates on each side, west, south, east and north.

No one could have touched Jesus unless He allowed it. That was part of the plan. If you think anyone will ever attack Jesus again, forget about it. I used to think that the armies of heaven would come and take over the earth for Him when He came, and maybe the saints returning from heaven with Him would help a lot. No. My understanding now is that Jesus by Himself will take care of business! The One who spoke the world into existence will come against the gathered armies of all the world to do battle. What surprises me is how the armies of the world actually think they had any chance whatsoever. No.

All I said was if Jesus is God, and you can't kill God, then Jesus did not really die for our sins because Jesus was never really dead. Why are you talking about armies and battle?

ummm ok. By using very vague interpretation and throwing in some wishful thinking I guess I can see how you have come to your conclusion.

I was pointing out that He laid down His life, no one killed Him. Yes, He allowed Himself to be murdered by them, but He could have lifted His little finger at any time and killed them all. His body really died. God planned to come here to prove His love for us by dying to pay the price for us, that we could not pay ourselves.

OK (Not sure what is vague about specific dimensions of breadth, and height and width, and materials)

Nothing. The vague part is your interpretation that they are describing the place you are going to when you die.
