It also completely wrecks my hypothetical theory that Jesus was parthenogentic.

It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to have a virgin birth. You NEED a sperm cell, whether you get it inserted instead of having sexual intercourse, that's up to you. But you can't just miraculously have a baby.

Except, that it happens all the time in several species and occasionally in many others.

That's just scientific fact. It's called parthenogenesis.

In humans parthenogenesis should theoretically be possible. But in humans it is far from the favorable method of reproduction.
