When we here stories from the Bible, why is it that the contemporary Christian and Ancient God has so many character traits of a wise human? I view an all knowing conciousness to be content and passive, yet all I see is a wise ancient being interfering in every path.
The Greek gods resembled the greek people and played out there existence like a dramatic soap opera, and yet, I wonder what is so different from the Christian and Catholic representations of a God. A God who is 'slow to anger' and 'omnipotent yet caring enough to allow us to fail' seems just as human as the ancient Greek gods.
I'm open to ideas of Christians who have their own view of their God, and welcome them in this chat area. Please express your thoughts and convince me that your God is not as human as he seems.
regards
