They have been improving...my life has been improving lately. But I've had years of trauma. If I was never born I wouldn't have had experienced it.

The level of trauma I've experienced I'd rather not think that. But if that comforts you that's nice.

Yes there has been a history of this in Buddhism by monks protesting various injustices.
I understand their sentiment. But as you said. Maybe a better way?

It is a self-destructive act worth considering for a Darwin award to immolate oneself in protest of Climate Change.
Don't you have to survive to get the Darwin award? Just not be able to procreate?

The criterion is removal from the gene pool (as a result of one's own actions). Death is not required. The conceit is that this removal benefits everyone else.
I have no problem digging up my ancestors and setting them on fire if you think it'll help.
