mass growth anomaly

hello folks,
i will get staright to the point. i have noticed a distressing phenomenon in india. all states of india in fact. the younger population, ages 25-35, seems undergrown physically. the whole musculo-skeletal structure seems arrested at the adolescent/pubescent stage. consequently even married couples look like college kids or kids barely out of their teens. sparse beards, bony wrists, short spindly legs in men.boyish immature faces in both men and women.
this is seen more and more as one looks at people born after 1980. the farther back one goes from 1979 to 1965 the undegrown ones are outnumbered by the full-grown ones. those born before 1965 are completely ok. again as we go forward from 1980 the heftier, full-grown types become rarer and rarer.
i am a lay person and my knowledge abt these things is as little as the average man on the street. are there any knowledgeble people here who could throw some light on this? what could have caused this? prevention in future generations? remedying those who are already stunted?

I am not an expert on human physiology or growth. That said, has there been a major change in diet generally in the region? A major shift in diet could result in the physiological changes that you are noticing.

duck,
i have seen no changes in diet. in some homes three or more siblings who have eaten the same food cooked by the mother have shown inexplicable differences in individual growths.

It seeming this way to you (and apparently you alone) doesn't demonstrate it is true. I'd be suprised if there weren't basic statistics of average height and weight of various generations available to compare. You need to clearly demonstrate significant differences before you start talking about causes and remedies.

joe,
i said 'seem' because things such as 'looking mature' can't be measured like physical quantities. my saying 'seem' doesen't take away the obective truth of it. younger people in india ARE looking undergrown. they have normal height -to-weight ratios surprisingly enough. they also show normal signs of ageing e.g greying of whiskers, facial hair. but their basic looks are those of adolescent kids.
is there a way to post pics from my desktop folders onto this thread? that would be convincing evidence.

No, you said "seem" because what you are describing is your (and currently only your) perception. You list in your OP measurable factors and what you describe is difficult to equate with your equally unsupported claim of "normal" height-to-weight ratios (I'd expect that to have changed over the decades given the rapid development of Indian society).

No, it would be a bunch of unsourced pictures.

I'm not definitively stating that you're wrong, only that you shouldn't make the leap from your personal perception to seeking causes and remedies. If there were a noticeable change in the physical structures of the indian population, I would expect it do be demonstratable via formal scientific study and I would also expect someone other than just you to have noticed.
