May I ask how, in your view, we are we internalizing ugliness? I cant help that my wife felt betrayed when I looked at other women. But I can honor her feelings by avoiding that.
Your post seemed to point to the feelings of "I feel ugly whenever I feel sexual urges for the sake of pleasure." Whether it's you who feels that you're dirty, ugly, filthy, or your wife who feels as if she's not good enough for you. That's what I see. So, yes, it seems as if the two of you are internalizing a feeling of ugliness, and that makes my heart go out to the both of you.
Those who never view pornography while masturbating are in the minority.
Based on what? Do you have a source? We all have our fantasies to fall back on, you know. And it isn't as if vibrators are sold with a pack of adult film DVDs.
I am unfamiliar with this acronym.
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer (I see TW has answered that already).
Thanks. The bible emphasizes self-control. Society emphasizes self-indulgence. Following the Bible naturally leads to certain conclusions that a lot of people today either dont understand, or dont agree with. I realize that not everyone follows what the Bible says, so, I see why those people dont have a problem with masturbation and why they dont agree with my position on it. But the OP asked an open question, so I attempted to answer it the best I could, whatever thats worth.
Fair enough. Anyone is free to live how they see fit. And if you are happier this way, more power to you. I only take issue when sexual restrictions are made into law, such as the anti-sodomy laws and the laws against same sex marriage. But I also take issue whenever misinformation is presented about sex and sexuality....and if you scroll back a few pages, you'll see a terrible tirade about women and orgasms.
