Senator John McCain recently announced that when he dies (which sadly, will probably be very soon), he does NOT want to allow Trump to attend his funeral.

I think this is a positive and heroic move by McCain.

What say you?

It's probably just as well, since I won't be at McCain's funeral either.

That's his choice, no one else's to make.

I find it of no quality.

Sorry to be that guy. I can feel the sentiment well, but it does not really help with anything.

He couldn't even make it to Barbara Bush's funeral - he'll be playing golf that day.
Trump's lack of empathy is striking.

Let's say that you were serving your country as a pilot in the Air Force and you were shot down in enemy territory. You survive the crash, but spend the next few years being brutalized in a prisoner camp. Years later, some politician claims that you weren't a hero. If that were me, I certainly wouldn't want him at my funeral.

I don't know about heroic, but I would do the same thing. Trump would undoubtedly make it about himself, which would take away from the celebration of McCain's life. He just can't help himself ... he always has to be the center of attention.
