ME Christians Join and Train with Hizbullah Against ISIS

[...]Nearly two years ago Hezbollah opened training camps in the area outside the city of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley, close to the Syrian border, to train youth from different denominations in preparation to face radicals, and although the highest percentage of the trainees in these camps are Shiites, the recent acts by "IS" against the Christians of Syria and Iraq have pushed dozens of young Christians hailing from the towns adjacent to the Syrian border to join them. Today, these Christian youth represent a form of "people’s protection committees" in their hometowns similar to those formed by Christian youth in Syrian towns.

The Hezbollah sources said, "There is a high level of coordination between these committees, which are expanding, and Hezbollah’s military apparatus, called the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, which is independent from the resistance body tasked with defending against Israel."

With the growing expectation that "IS" is coming to Lebanon, Hezbollah’s military preparations have evolved toward promoting a plan to establish the Lebanese Resistance Brigades, which gather all denominations, to face "IS". Steadily, this plan has started to be accepted by youth from other denominations, particularly the Christians of the north and the Bekaa Valley.

A Christian youth explained why he joined the local protection committee: “What has happened in Mosul has been a message to all Christians of the East that the world will not protect them and that they need to rely on themselves to defend their existence.”

The same Hezbollah source said Hezbollah’s idea to establish the Lebanese Resistance Brigades dates back to the 1990s: “Its objective was initially to make the resistance against Israel a national resistance, not just a Shiite resistance,” the source said. “Yet, its implementation back then was constrained by several obstacles, which resulted in the idea of the Resistance Brigades as a militia affiliated with Hezbollah and tasked with countering internal military dangers.”

Today, the idea is being developed as Hezbollah needs to counter an expected war by "IS" in Lebanon. The new development is succeeding by establishing it in environments where there are existential concerns among Christians in areas close to "IS" and Jabhat al-Nusra positions at the Syrian border. Hezbollah has actually succeeded in establishing “people’s protection committees” that consist of dozens of Christians from the northern Bekaa towns.[...]

Though I need to note that the article mistakenly portrays it as if Hizbullah doesn't have any support from Sunnis in Lebanon. You can read the whole article here:

Hezbollah calls for resistance against IS - Al-Monitor: the Pulse of the Middle East

And I believe, the Islamic prophecies are becoming true, that real Muslims and Christians shall form an alliance against the Sufyani and Dajjal (something like anti-christs).

Speaking of Prophecies, a few others by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp) also, which is recorded in sunni books, are happening:

‘When you see some black flags, remain where you are and do not move your hands or your feet (Don’t join them). Thereafter there shall appear a feeble folk to whom no concern is given. Their hearts will be like fragments of iron (ruthless). [They will kill by ripping the stomachs of women and even kill the children]. They are the representatives of the State (Ashab al-Dawla; DAEESH; ISIS). They will fulfill neither covenant nor agreement. They will invite to the truth, though they are not from its people. Their names will be agnomens [i.e., Abu so-and-so], and their ascriptions will be to regions [e.g. Masri, Baghdadi, etc.] Their hair will be long like that of women. [They shall remain so] till they differ among themselves, and then Allah will bring forth the truth from whomever He wills.'

"The son of the liver eating (Hind); Sufyani shall emerge in a dry valley. He shall arrange an army of ruthless and heartless people from the tribe of Kalb (slumdogs) and he will oppress every nation. He will destroy (blow up) Madrassahs (Islamic Schools, Hosseiniyahs, Shrines) and Masjids (Mosques) and punish whomever bows down and prostrates (the pious people of the region). He will oppress, make mischief and create chaos. He will kill the scholars and the devotees and the monks. He will invade many cities. He will betray the pure people and shed their blood and he will be the enemies to the progeny of Muhammad."

There emerges among Banu Abbas (Iraq) people with (fake) black flags, then there shall appear another army from Khorasan (Iran) with (true) black flags. Their turbans will be black (Syeds; Progeny of Prophet Muhammad) and clothes will be white. They will be lead by Shuaib bin Saleh Tamimi (Khamenei). They shall defeat the army of Sufyani (hypocrites) and prepare the ground for the Kingdom of the Mahdi/Messiah.

And this one is from a shia source;

Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) says: "There shall emerge a great fitnah in Sham (Levant), and the region of Harasta will be shaked again and again and 100 thousand people will lose their lives there. Then people with yellow flags from the west (HIZBOLLAH of LEBANON) will enter Sham and like lightnings they will strike (e.g. Qusayr), later the Sufyani will emerge. Then the appearance of Mahdi is so near."

Makes sense, as the Sunni jihadist armies grow larger and larger, the minorities bind together. When the Syrian civil war started many Alawites, Kurds and Christians joined the rebels. As the Islamists started killing thousands of civilians in each group, they all defected to Assad.

If some sort of NATO-Russia conflict occurs in Europe (judging by the European theatre, it doesn't seem that unlikely), it wouldn't surprise me to see Israel become temporary allies with Hezbollah.

Patriarch-Laham-Syrian-people-need-to-stick-together-and-serve-their-homeland.jpg

Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarch of Antioch and all East Gregory III Laham said that the current circumstances which Syria is currently going through make it necessary that the Syrian people work in service of their homeland, its security and the unity of its people.

Laham’s remarks came in the framework of holding a prayer “for peace in Syria” which he presided over as part of a ceremony marking the diamond jubilee of establishing the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at the Monastery of St. Peter in Marmarita area in the central province of Homs.

He called upon the Syrian people “to stick to their houses and neighborhoods” and defend the unity and social fabric of their country.

Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar and Governor of Homs Talal al-Barazi attended the ceremony.

The Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help carried out limited activities at its inception in Marmarita village, but it soon succeeded to reach out to various areas across Syria and beyond to other countries such as Lebanon, Egypt and France. The association provides educational and social services, in addition to serving people with special needs, orphans and needy people.

ISIS attacked Lebanese towns: http://www.almanar.com.lb/english/adetails.php?fromval=2&cid=14&frid=23&seccatid=14&eid=174700

But as expected Hizbullah retaliated and stopped the takfiris;

Lebanese Patriarch Rai: Hadn’t Hezbollah Been There, ISIL Would Have Reached Jounieh

Rahi.jpg

Well-informed Lebanese source told As-Safir newspaper that eve Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said before a narrow circle of assistants in the Patriarchal in Bkirki said, “If the Christians in Lebanon were surveyed about the current developments, they would reiterate that had not been Hezbollah, ISIL would have reached Jounieh.”

It is worth noting that Jounieh is a Lebanese Christian town about 16 km (10 mi) north of Beirut.

60% Of Christians Believe Hezbollah Protects Lebanon

A poll of 1,000 Lebanese across the sectarian divide showed support for Hizbullah’s actions against armed militants in Syria, lack of trust in the International Tribal and support for a pro-Hizbullah President.

Summary of results: Poll 1 Christians only

The majority of Christians support Hizbullah’s actions in Lebanon and Syria. 62.6% of Christians believe that Hizbullah’s confrontation with takfiris (term for Nusra Front and ISIS) is for the protection of Lebanon. 58.2% do not support the replacement of Hizbullah’s forces with UN forces. A resounding 65.2% of Christians disagree that takfiris threaten Lebanon because Hizbullah entered Syria (a key claim by anti-Hizbullah political parties in Lebanon).

Poll shows solid support for Hizbullah's 'controversial' actions Friends of Ahlulbayt
