Meaning of life

Further to post #16

Our most profound ideas, beliefs interests, needs, desires and aspiration are the fabric of our own individual heart or spirit. For example a person might firmly believe in his or her individual heart or spirit that finding and marrying his or her right mate is a number one goal. If he does discern from his heart or spirit his precise mate and marries her, he will find that his life has serious meaning and purpose.

I have a relative who was rather successful at her job but she was always complaining about tiredness. This went on for many years and through many boyfriends. Eventually she met someone and she was married. Thereafter she remained perpetually joyful and spontaneous. She no longer complained about tiredness. It seem that he most profound idea, belief interest, need desire and aspiration was of her heart or spirit. When she was able to fulfill that idea, belief interest, need desire and aspiration of her heart or spirit every thing else settled down. That brought her to a meaningful life with purpose and all other things were over shadowed.

It seem that the ideas, beliefs, interests, needs desires and aspirations of our heart or spirit is seldom verbalized. However as long as they are not expressed and/or materialized they remain in latency, in the back ground of our awareness, as our most profound, silent and perpetually nagging ones.

Seems that one must get to expressing and materializing the ideas, beliefs, interests, needs desires and aspirations of one's own heart or spirit. This is the path to having a meaningful life with purpose.

The meaning of life is to provide God with experiences He could not otherwise have.

The meaning of YOUR life is to experience the universe and have a chance to return home.

There is no meaning in life, to believe you need to have a meaning is to destroy your life, life is ever flowing, go with it and enjoy it, be free from any meaning, your own or anyone else's.

The meaning of a person's life can be define by himself.
Other things/people/god(s) can also give or be a meaning to the person's life, when and if he thinks those "meaning" does meet his standards of how a "meaning" can be consider meaningful to him. If the "meaning" is actually not a meaning or is not meaningful to him, then it's not a meaning or is a meaningless meaning to himself.

My speculation for how to get a meaning to life: a person work hard to live his life in his prefer ways, which this ways make him happy and doesn't harm other's life physically/psychology.

It seems to me to answer that question accurately, we need direction from the One who created us. His will for the first human couple was to "Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28) I believe God has not changed his purpose. He will yet have the earth made into a paradise home for those who obey him. As for today, God's "will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth." (1 Timothy 2:4) That is the purpose of life, to honor and worship the one true God with accurate knowledge of the truth about him.
What a convoluted religious way of saying that the purpose of life is procreation, "Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth", and survival, "He will yet have the earth made into a paradise home for those who obey him."

The meaning of life is to worship God, knowing that we will die one day and return to him to take responsibility for the bad we have done and at the same time earn his pleasure for the good we have done.

It's about thinking of doing good for those who are less fortunate and going through hardships as well as preventing evil and standing against it.
That's my two cents.

Your statement, "Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth", is very misleading. It is totally incomplete. It will lead aspiring Christians and others to err.

God's aim is not simply that one go forth and multiply. God's aim and will is that all humans stop bringing forth children of the flesh and start bringing forth only children of God.

Fact is those who continue to esteem the law are under the law and they invariably bring forth only children of the flesh.

Those who have absolutely abandon the law and transgress the law if necessary, so as to be led unconditionally by Spirit, bring forth only children of God.

God do not support the bringing forth to earth of children of the flesh.

The sad fact is that those who esteem and are under the law bring forth children of the flesh. Only those who transgress the law, so as to be led, unconditionally, by the Spirit bring forth children of God.

The above facts are confirmed very clearly, completely and literally by many separate revelations in the KJV N.T..

Also it is confirmed very clearly, literally and completely in the KJV N.T. that humans can bring forth either children of the flesh or children of God. The choice is wide open. However those in traditional Christianity do not know this truth. They are misled. Which kind of child is brought forth depend on how a couple is led into their procreative sex.

Abraham brought forth one of each. He brought forth a child of promise/child of God with his wife. And he also brought forth a child of the flesh with his wife's bond maiden. This is not at all linked to Abraham's marriage. Being married or not, has nothing to do with bringing forth children of God or children of the flesh. Fact is a child of God can be brought forth through a 'one night stand', once the 'one night stand' sexual act was done in obedience to urging of Spirit. .

In Abraham's case the child of the flesh persecuted the child of God: God confirmed that the child of the flesh will not inherit the world together with the child of God.

When couples are led in their physical procreative sex by urging of Spirit they inevitably bring forth only children of God. On the other hand when couples are led into their physical procreative sex under loyalty, obligation and obedience to the law (i.e. the Ten Commandments), they inevitably bring forth only children of the flesh.

Fact is the will and plan of God is that: children of the flesh will not and do not inherit the earth together with child of God, in the fullness of time.

Going forth and filling the world with children of the flesh is responsible for totally delaying God's kingdom of heaven from coming to earth. This had changed. The above knowledge has surfaced with a vengeance.

It is up to each person to come on board with Truth, now in the fullness of time. My mission, under grace of God, in the body of Christ, is to purify what has erroneously passed for Christianity for the past 2000 odd years. If one comes onto Truth (i.e. the mysteries of God's kingdom of heaven) at this time one will have it clearly, unadulterated, literally or without corruption. This is how I am given to provide it through my post. Then one will have it right and not err and one will among the few who are chosen last. (i.e one will be among the last who are first).

Well then, I did a poor job of explaining the loving purpose of our Creator for us to live forever, without pain or violence, crime nor sickness nor war on this earth, enjoying life to the full for all eternity. (Revelation 21:3-5) All the things that cause suffering and death will be removed, and peace will exist because all living will subject themselves to the rulership of God. That is what I believe is God's purpose for all of us.

Well of course people who evolved a survival instinct make up a religion where they are promised eternal happy survival. :) I suggest you read about the evolutionary origins of religion and leave it at that to avoid derailing the thread.

How does a person have meaning to their life. What's the purpose to life
"Meaning" and "purpose" are two different things. I think that "purpose" boils down to what "makes more" of you. For me, "meaning" boils down to relationship. That is, the relationships I form with other people and with the world about me add to my life and my experience of who I am, thereby "making more of me," when I come to realize that my self-identity includes all others.

The meaning of life? Enjoying the trip as long as it lasts.

But if you look for more objective or universal meanings, I do not think there is any. With the possible exception of spreading our genes, which is ultimately pointless anyway.

you have the possibility of becoming part of God's family. the Bible says that to those who believe He gives the power to become the sons of God. that is a pretty awesome potential
"Possibility?" We are members of God's family. For we are created as the imago dei.

Meister Eckhart says that "identity is unity."
Unity or not is depends on a person's opinion which form by using his own reasoning/logic?
Unity is also depends on [which/whom] things/people/god(s) is the object that wants to consider to unite with or not?

What does unity means? Does unity means that a person is fully agreed with some things/people/god(s) and follow whatever their rules/logic? If the person disagree with them, should he still unite with them?
