Meaning

Whether one is referring to the Old or New Testaments, the written word is of the inspired human author who wrote as he interpreted and made public, communicated his mystical experience of God. Unless you prefer to believe that God has a human voice and spoke words.
I think that God communicates most like the cold and hot game. Do you know that game?
The player whose turn it is thinks of something that the others have to guess at. If the guess is way off target the one whose turn it is says, "cold", but if it is close the player says, "hot".

While meditating on what the meaning might be The Spirit assists with, that is wrong, but not with words, or that is right, but not with words. There are no definites. When someone says, "I know", he is lying.

They say that the god would never allow a believer in God to be misled.
That is why they trust the word which says "all scripture is inspired of God" as God's words.
That means that nobody can alter the meaning of any of the words in it according to them.
They live by the words trusting in God to use those words to lead them.

If all that is true, then God allowing Adam to sin has no meaning.

I am not going to talk about Genesis being a historical account.
I would talk about my belief that it has real meaning.

Why would God allow the first worshipper of God to be misled but then actively prevent
any other sincere believer in God to be misled?

Adam wasn't misled. God's word was true. If Adam stuck to the word of God the only complaint he could have was that him and Eve took closer to 1000 years to die rather than a single day.

Adam wasn't misled by God. True. Adam was misled by Eve's request.

Has paying attention gone the way of the dodo bird?

No, Adam knew what he was doing. Scripture says Eve was deceived but Adam was not deceived, sin entered the world through Adam.

What do you mean has paying attention gone the way of the Dodo bird?

I do not know why you are making misled equal deceived.

The dodo is extinct like paying attention is extinct.

The story goes Eve was deceived into taking and eating but Adam was not deceived into eating. He chose it. Why did he choose to eat? He was following his wife.

Because they are just about the same.

Eve was led to believe that eating wasn't bad. Now you say Adam was also being led that way? What is your proof?

But, Adam and Eve are not the subject of this thread.

The very FACT that some believers in God believe God will not allow those same believers to be misled because God will not allow it is the subject of the thread.

Some people say that the Bible as it truly is the word of God can't be wrong because if it was in any way wrong people would believe in a wrong way and that is not possible because God won't allow it to be possible.

Even though, the very same book that they say must be perfect because God won't have it any other way SAYS that only a few will find the narrow gate to go through it.

Which is obviously TRUE.

Oh, well of course they are wrong. God lets people be totally wrong. It's uncommon to find someone who has anything right. I've never known anybody to have it all right.

It also says seek and ye shall find. Not everybody seeks good. Maybe some read it intentionally seeking dirt on God and mislead themselves.

I think you are misunderstanding again. I haven't said that they believe THEY have it all right. They are saying the Bible has it all right. It doesn't. How do I know? I can see that it doesn't. There is proof that you, they and everyone won't see. Why won't they see it? I don't know!
