Meaning

Jimmy

King Phenomenon
Isn’t it obvious that we’ve all been here before and that we’ll all be here again? To me it’s like common sense. Life has meaning this way. What else? A void? I think not imo. There would be no meaning this way. It would be pointless. The truth is so crystal clear to me.

I was here yesterday, I went into a void of deep sleep last night, and I'm here again today. I'll likely go into the void again tonight, and I may or may not be here tomorrow.

Yes, life has meaning.

Take a look at the 1st law of thermodynamics. All of you has been here from the time atoms formed and will be here until the end of the universe.

If we've already been here before, why would we want to come back?

If you could, would you live in a different house with a different family every day?

I don't think so. The lodger's life is not for me, although I can see where no one would be able to put up with me for more than a day. So, I'd have to move someplace every day.

So you always come back, then. Why, besides the likelihood of being kicked out of every other house you move into, do you always come back?

I don't know. I guess it just depends on where I can go. I don't even know what the options are.

I guess I'm attempting to draw a parallel here. Most come back home to family because they're attached. The same reason, in Hindu philosophy, one remains trapped in samsara, they cycle of rebirth.

That would suggest that there's a choice involved, but I'd still want to see what the other options are.
