Michelle Obama's DNC speech

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Who said anything about feeling sorry for her? Are her observations and experiences in college invalid because of this? Of course not! And she does speak truth of what really happens. I come from a poor background. When I was in college, especially in my honor's classes, there were times when I felt like Kenny McCormick from South Park, including a muffled voice and opinions that didn't matter because I didn't meet their monied requirements. She got something like that plus being black added on top of it.
I don't know what she dealt with and neither do you. All I know is that SHE SAID WHAT SHE SAID, which is "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country." I guess she wasn't proud of her country at any other time. I think that's sad and very telling.

Agree. Don't ever listen to this self serving snake in the grass.
...
You reminded me to DO SOMETHING MORE. This time because of the negativity in this thread, rather than another one time donation, your comments and that of others in this thread caused me to make a weekly donation instead. As Michelle Obama said

Our fate is in our hands.
In 77 days, we have the power to turn our country away from the fear, division, and smallness of the past.
We have the power to marry our hope with our action.
We have the power to pay forward the love, sweat, and sacrifice of our mothers and fathers and all those who came before us.
Let us keep moving our country forward and go higher — yes, higher — than we’ve ever gone before…
As we elect the next President and Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz!

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Guess what? Nothing but cliches. The same crap that is said in every election.

Get real.

You've never ever said anything dumb?

Good point. It seems equivalent to Wolz's ambiguous description of the kinds of guns he wanted to see banned. I have to believe Michele O'Bama was proud of our country when we elected her husband. I would imagine it was in relation to how we all felt when Trump was in office which evoked the contrast which she expressed badly.
