These kinds of people give America bad name. Nothing like claiming your for the Constitution, yet trying to go against people's beliefs and practices. I guess that doesn't violate the first amendment now does it. Let's just say every Muslim is bad, even the children, because that's the easy way out. Instead of going after the people actually responsible, let's just blame all of them. Most of the haters know next to nothing about Islam or even met a Muslim personally, yet they act like they are all the same. I guess that's why there's different branches of Islam right?

Am I the only one sickened by this? How about go after the people that are corrupt on our soil, the ones who have tried to get America divided, with whites against blacks, Muslims and Non Muslims. They are responsible.

It's certainly a sad state of affairs for religious freedom. Politicians willing to be an affront to religious freedom certainly need to be voted out of office. Not allowing a mosque to be built is ridiculous on many levels.

I'm just smart enough to know there's good ones as well as bad. I'm a little more concerned about focusing on the enemy, not Muslims themselves.

Some have been treated unfairly. Whether you want to admit it or not. Both on American soil and outside of it.

I thought the Constitution of the United States was an just an outdated document written by old rich White guys that didn't want to pay taxes (1st amendment) o_O just joking but seriously I'd like to see where this all goes because I remember what the government and the media did with the "Viper militia" back in the 90's when white guys with guns were the mortal enemy flavour of the time in the U.S. which ended up being basically a group of guys that liked to drink beer, shoot guns, and liked to set off explosions now and then for ****s and giggles. Whether this Crusader group is/was serious or not only time will tell but it's never good to forget what the powers that be have done in the past and what they have been doing to various motorcycle clubs especially in recent years, it's an interesting chain of events.

Bleh. There were also protests when the mosque was to be set up in Warsaw. In spite of this it was finally built. It looks horrible.

Something to consider is pent up frustration.

People tend to do things that offers any venue to lash out at things and issues that consistently get ingored and continually fall on deaf ears until something drastic and terrible occurs.

Weither it's any independent group or the goverment, patience is finite on both ends of the coin, and it almost inevitably comes to a head if frustration is simply left to fester and build.

"Don't Tread on Me" slogans and flags seem to be gaining popularity these days.

Seems what had happened in France aggravated the situation under a Muslim banner. They hold out their hand and it got bit by fanatics touting Islam.

People see that and say, "Not in my backyard".

Sounds very familiar, no?

I think that's one of the biggest practical problems besides anything else, the architecture is usually cr*p and does about as much for local property values as a wind farm.

No easy answer, freedom of religion was a unique and rightfully proud achievement in America, but in practice this mainly involved different denominations of Christianity. There was a lot of common ground there to work with. But where we are talking not about the freedom to worship peacefully according to our own faith ... but the violent acts of a radical political movement.... that can't be protected under the same umbrella for the sake of principle

Actually, the Muslim population in Poland is very small and peaceful. The mosque is ugly but I never understood people making so much fuss about it. The key to fighting terrorism is not banning mosques but responsible immigration policy i.e., thorough screening of the immigrants and refusing the entry to those whose identity is either unknown or arouses even the slightest suspicions.

PEW research center has gathered quite a lot of material stats that I think are relevant:

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...key-findings-in-the-u-s-and-around-the-world/

Also in the past year...

Muslims in America appear to have a bull's-eye on their backs.

Hate crimes targeting Muslims, their mosques and businesses, have tripled this year and the bulk of the attacks have occurred in recent weeks, according to a tally by California State University San Bernardino college professor Brian Levin.

There have been 38 anti-Muslim attacks in the U.S. since the deadly Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, Levin found.

And 18 of those happened in the wake of the Dec. 2 slaughter in San Bernardino, according to Levin, whose office is just nine miles from the government building where a radicalized Muslim couple murdered 14 people and wounded 22 more before they were killed by law enforcement.
