What is a mintrubber?

'A freca menta' is a romanian expression that mot-a-mot means 'To rub mint' but it actually means 'To waste time'. 'To burn gas' ('A arde gazul') means the same thing.

There are many expressions in romanian that mean this and they're usually pretty silly.
ex: 'A taia frunza la caini' ( To cut leaves for dogs ) and 'A freca duda' ( To rub the mawlberry )
