It always amazes me that people actually think this is really the face of Jesus.No one even knows what he looked like.The pictures of the blue eyed Jesus with long brown hair is not real.It is just a picture of a man.Yet when people see this same image, they go nuts, and really pray and worship the image.

This is a side effect of evolution. One of the things that made early man so adaptable was our ability to recognize patterns. Weather, seasonal changes, migratory habits, all played a part in allowing us to survive, and knowing what they meant was a huge step up. However, now our brains have this big, juicy pattern-stamp we try to apply to everything (if you doubt me, go to a casino and watch the guys at the roulette table). We apply patterns we can recognize to everything, including random events like this, or haunted grilled cheese sandwiches.

You really don't believe a man of Middle Eastern descent would have light skin and blue eyes?

Of course not! Thats my point.That picture of Jesus with blue eyes and brown hair is thought to be the image of Caesare Borgia.Son of Pope Alexander VI.

I always wondered why Jesus, or Mary, decide to appear in countries where they already believe in them.

Is that Oded Fehr? If it is, he was in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. As one of the Medjai his face was supposed to be completely covered by tattoos. However, the producers felt he was too handsome to have his face completely covered. I agree. :) If that's not Oded Fehr, oh well, he's still yummy. Carry on.

I don't know. I just googled "long hair arab" and his face popped up. I don't know who he is.
