Muslims claim there are many miracles in the Quran. These miracles seem to be either Lingustic, Historical, Social, Numerical or Scientific. I'll give an example of one of each:

Historical miracle:
The Quran uses the term pharoah (Fir'aun) and king (Malik) to mention the leaders of Eqypt at the time of Moses (Mosa) and Joseph (yusuf). When the Rosetta stone was found, we were able to find out that Egypt was ruled by a 'king' from the hieroglyphics

Numerical miracle:
Surah Baqarah has 286 verses and exactly in the middle, verse 143, it says middle It says the Word Middle.

The Quran says 'Jesus is like Adam' (3:59) and It mentions both Adam and Jesus exactly 25 time in the Quran and up to this verse, it mentions them both 9 times each.

Linguistic miracle:
The Quran has unique literary form. It has the finite arabic letter and follow the grammatical arabic rules yet the literary form cannot be replicated. The Quran challenged arabists of the time to make atleast a chapter that has the same form, but they couldn't meet the challenge. 1400 years past and the blueprint of the quran couldn't be replicated. This challenge still stands today.
For more details in the Literary forms in Arabic
hamzatzortzis(dot)com/essays-articles/exploring-the-quran/the-qurans-unique-literary-form/

Social miracle:
How a barbaric society would become the most civilised society in about 30 years. This 'barbaric' arab society would start a war because of a camel eating someones crops .

Scientific miracle:
The Quran says “And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.”(25:53)
This wasn't known at the time.

These are all the numerical miracles I can find:

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

The number of repetitions of the words "plant" and "tree" is the same: 26

The word "payment or reward" is repeated 117 times, while the expression "forgiveness" (mughfirah), which is one of the basic morals of the Qur'an, is repeated exactly twice that amount, 234 times.

When we count the word "Say," we find it appears 332 times. We arrive at the same figure when we count the phrase "they said."

The number of times the words, "world" (dunya) and "hereafter" (akhira) are repeated is also the same: 115

The word "satan" (shaitan) is used in the Qur'an 88 times, as is the word "angels" (malaika).

The word faith (iman) (without genitive) is repeated 25 times throughout the Qur'an as is also the word infidelity (kufr).

The words "paradise" and "hell" are each repeated 77 times.

The word "zakah" is repeated in the Qur'an 32 times and the number of repetitions of the word "blessing" (barakah) is also 32.

The expression "the righteous" (al-abraar) is used 6 times but "the wicked" (al-fujjaar) is used half as much, i.e., 3 times.

The number of times the words "Summer-hot" and "winter-cold" are repeated is the same: 5.

The words "wine" (khamr) and "intoxication" (saqara) are repeated in the Qur'an the same number of times: 6

The number of appearances of the words "mind" and "light" is the same: 49.

The words "tongue" and "sermon" are both repeated 25 times.

The words "benefit" and "corrupt" both appear 50 times.

"Reward" (ajr) and "action" (fail) are both repeated 107 times.

"Love" (al-mahabbah) and "obedience" (al-ta'ah) also appear the same number of times: 83

The words "refuge" (maseer) and "for ever" (abadan) appear the same number of times in the Qur'an: 28.

The words "disaster" (al-musibah) and "thanks" (al-shukr) appear the same number of times in the Qur'an: 75.

"Sun" (shams) and "light" (nur) both appear 33 times in the Qur'an. In counting the word "light" only the simple forms of the word were included.

The number of appearances of "right guidance" (al-huda) and "mercy" (al-rahma) is the same: 79

The words "trouble" and "peace" are both repeated 13 times in the Qur'an.

The words "man" and "woman" are also employed equally: 23 times.

The first three can be labeled a coincidence. The rest are a freakishly consistent masterpeice.

The present Koran (as seen today being printed, copied or published in Arabic, is the authorized version from the third Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan, who had ordered all other hand copied texts of the Koran in his times to be handed over to his Koran editing forum headed by his deputy Saeed Ibn Aas. Many such Korans (The Koran was not published in a collected serialized form of verses during the lifetime of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah the claimant to be the last messenger of God on earth and the Koran being the Lectures from God revealed to him as heavenly verses descending on him (Wahi) via readings by the Archangel Gabriel, dreams (Royeh) and super natural perception (like ringing of distant bells of camels of a caravan). He claimed and was supported by the Lectures to be, an illiterate man (Ummi). The Lectures were collectively and singularly written down by those of his apostles (Assahaaba) who were literate. After his death, neither of his successors i.e., Abi Bakr Assiddiq and Umar Al Farooq did actually order the Lectures to be collected and published in a book form (though the Koran was referred as the Al Kitaab Ullah (God's book) as soon as it was presented by Muhammad to the public. The first revelations of the Lectures took place in solitude to Muhammad at a cave of a hill called Hireh near Mecca when he was 40 years of age and read: "Read in the name of of thy Lord who has created (thee)! Created (the) man from a clot of blood and taught him with the pen!.....(Surah Iqra) and the last revelation came to him at Medina a few years prior to his death in the form of Surah Al Maaideh (Concessions). These revelations were made sometimes in part, and sometimes in whole verses,

The 3rd Caliph Uthman, Muhammad's revered elder son in law, got hold of all copied manuscripts of these Lectures from all and sundry that possessed them, by request and if needed by coercion. The case of the companion and apostle Abdullah Ibn Massoud is was a sorrowful one. Ibn Massoud (famous for his recorded traditions of Muhammad) was a learned man and also one gifted with a melodious voice in which he used to recite the Lectures. Muhammad liked Ibn Massoud's recitations and had personally gifted him a manuscript copied by his younger son in law Ali Ibn Abi Taalib. This Koran did not treat the verse Surah Al Hamd (that starts todays Koran) as a revealed verse but a prayer (Dua) by Muhammad as also the pair of verses known as Muawwazatain (The two redeemers) now appearing at the end of the Koran, as prayers. He stiffly resisted to hand over his manuscript to Uthman! Uthman promised to give the manuscript back after research and compilation of the authorized Koran to Ibn Massoud, but did not keep his promise. Ibn Massoud after repeated demands and altercations with the 3rd Caliph, ended up being beaten and unceremoniously pushed down the steps of the Mosque of Medina (that was renovated and expanded by Uthman a few months back) by Uthman. Ibn Massoud got his ribcage and waist fractured by that fall, and died in this injury at his home a week or so later, ordering his household to stop Uthman from attending to his last rites and let this last wish be conveyed to him, if Uthman happened to attend to his funeral! Usman was later to be hacked to death while reading the Koran, along with his last wife Naaileh, who had tried to shield his sitting form with her body from the killer's sword, by a congregation of Muslim Arabs from Egypt who along with other Muslims in multitude had arrived at Medina from all other Muslim areas, to protest against the reforms introduced by Uthman after his ascent to the Caliphate.

The authorized version after months comparisons and compilation from all other manuscripts is called today the Al Musshaff Al Uthmani and has 114 verses (Surahs) divided in 30 parts (Juz) comprising a total of 6666 lines (Aayeh). It commences with Suratal Hamd also known as Al Faatihatul Quran and has remain unchanged in its form and content since then till date.

Firstly, this is derailing from the subject at hand, miracles in the Quran.

Secondly, there are no reports that suggest Uthman forced all the previous Qurans to be burnt.

Thirdly, Abdullah Ibn Masood was upset, but it was because he wasn't elected as the one who collected the Quran. He clearly stated it in many ahadith. He was older and more learned then Zaid Ibn Thabit and was taught directly from the Prophet. He thought he qualified for the role more. Zaid Ibn Thabit collected the Quran the first time so Uthman thought he fit the role more.

Fourthly, All the pieces of the Quran were written down before the death of the Prophet. They were collected by Zaid ibn thabit both the times. The only issue was that two verse couldn't be found written in any of the book/tree/stones before the death of the prophet.

The present Koran (as seen today being printed, copied or published in Arabic, is the authorized version from the third Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan, ....

Uthman copied the ‘Hafsa Codex’ in hundreds of copies and distributed those copies to the remote areas where Islam reached . Now the question is whether Uthman had changed any part of the original Quran or not . The following discussion will focus a perfect light on this matter :

(a) Narrated Ibn Az-Zubair: I said to 'Uthman bin 'Affan (while he was collecting the Quran) regarding the Verse:-- "Those of you who die and leave wives ..." (2:240) "This Verse was abrogated by an other Verse. So why should you write it? " 'Uthman said. "O son of my brother! I will not shift anything of it from its place." (Bukhari: 6: 53)

In 6:60 of Bukhari it is recorded that Uthman told :

"Leave it (where it is), O the son of my brother, for I will not shift anything of it (i.e. the Quran) from its original position." Khalifa Uthman restricted himself with care not to change anything thing from the original Quran .

(b) Khalifa Uthman really didn’t change a single letter from the holy Quran during the task of copy. Moreover hundreds of prophet’s close companions were alive at that time . What was their reaction after the official copy prepared by Uthman ? Check the following records :
Zaid ibn Thabit is reported to have said:"I saw the Companions of Muhammad (going about) saying, 'By God, Uthman has done well! By God, Uthman has done well!" (Naysaburi, al-,Nizam al-Din al-Hasan ibn Muhammad, Ghara'ib al-Quran wa-ragha'ib al-furqan. 4 vols. To date. Cairo, 1962).

Ibn Abi Dawud records Musab ibn Sad ibn Abi Waqqas to have testified:
"I saw the people assemble in large number at Uthman's burning of the proscribed copies; not a one spoke out against him." ((Ibn Abi Dawud, p.12)

Ali ibn Abu Talib, the cousin of the Prophet and the fourth successor to the Prophet commented: "If I were in command in place of Uthman, I would have done the same".

( Zarkashi, al-, Badr al-Din, Al-Burhan fi-ulum al-Quran, Cairo, 1957, Vol. I, p. 240.)

(c) It is interesting that Hafsa died on 667 ad but that copies of Quran done by Uthman were compiled on 650 but all these 20 years that Quran with hafsa , no body complain about any change about it . Abua Bakar and Omars relm was about 14 years and Muslims practiced all their economivcal, diplomatic, political, international, national, social, familiar even personal affairs on the basis of the Quran that was with Hafsa and if it was changed during the copy by Uthman it could have created an remarkable effect in those affairs . But such was not the case at all and if it was then how it was possible that no body answer anything . Specially at that time thousands of prophet’s (p) close companions were alive and they witnessed about it with contentment.

(d) We need to consider also the chance of unintentional error done by the scriber. No way. The method of preservation of Quran set by ALLAH Almighty is the highest sincerity man kind ever seen in earth. The logics are:

(i) Uthman appointed Zaid bin Thabit to carry on this job backed by another three quaraishes 'Abdullah bin AzZubair, Said bin Al-As and 'AbdurRahman bin Harith bin Hisham. [Bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510].

The point is of Zaid made any mistakes those three Quarishes would rectify him. As the original Quran revealed in Quraish dialect hence those three wise men would the right persons to pick the error easily.

Moreover Zaid bin Thabit was that person who used to write revelations, there and there, instructed directly from the prophet Muhammad (p) himself. Check the record:
Narrated by al-Bara': There was revealed 'Not equal are those believers who sit (home) and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah' (4:95). The Prophet said: 'Call Zaid for me and let him bring the board, the ink pot and scapula bone.' Then he (Prophet) said: 'Write: Not equal are those believers...'

Zaid is reported to have said: 'We use to compile the Qur'an from small scraps in the presence of the Apostle'. [Suyuti, Itqan, I, p.99]

Again that Zaid was the same person upon whom Caliph Abu Bakr handed over the responsibilities to compile Quran in to one square book. Each verse had been verified by at least two direct witnesses who heard the verse direct from the last prophet Muhammad (p) . [Bukhari, VI, No. 201] .

Another record told us that Zaid bin Thabit was among those companions of prophet (p) who wrote his own personal copy of Quran [Ibn Abi Dawud: Masahif, p.14] .

Zaid Bin Thabit used to recite Quran in front of Prophet Muhammad (p) and prophet was satisfied in his recitation. He committed the entire Quran by his heart. [Labib as-Said, the Recited Koran, translated by Bernard Weiss, et al. 1975, p.21]

The second Caliph of Muslim world Umar ibn al-Khattab once addressed the Muslims and said: "O people, whoever wants to ask about the Quran, let him go to Zayd ibn Thabit." [Tarikh-e-Ashab ]

So it would be really difficult to blame that Zaid to might have done any unintentional mistake during copying the Quran . Moreover we should not forget that there were another three wise men doing the task of copying always keeping keen eyes on any simple deviations. In that community of prophet’s companions there were hundred of Quranic scholars who were taught Quran straight from the prophet Muhammad could easily pick any mistakes done by the committee of Zaid . Worthy to mention here that Caliph Uthman himself memorized the entire Quran and used to recite a big portion of it each and every day night in prayer. So the scope of a slightest deviation in Quran at that project of Thabit is far beyond imagination.

(ii) It is the culture from of the Muslim community to pray five times in a day in congregation. In three waqt (dawn, evening and night ) the Quran must be recited publicly by the imam ( the leader of the prayer) . The rules of prayer as shown by our prophet (p) is : the imam will stand in front alone . The first row of the congregation will stand behind him and in this way the other rows will be made . But the beauty of our prophet’s (p) teaching in this raw-making rule is imam should be selected as among the persons who posses the highest knowledge in Quran , i.e. , regarding the memorization of whole Quran , accurate recitation etc. In the next row those person will stand who have also a deep knowledge in Quran so that if the imam makes any mistakes , they will correct it immediately . This system will go in the backwards rows .
Again in the month of Ramadan (the month of fasting which occurred once a year ) Muslims used make congregation prayer in the night and more than one hafiz ( who memorized the entire Quran) recite the whole QUran in the presence of thousands of Muslim .

For thousand years Muslims are practicing those congregational prayers. Therefore if any changed had been made during the copy of holy Quran by Uthman it would be come to notice of the Muslims community just in a day time . Glory to ALLAH who inspired Muslims to choose such method which kept HIS final Testament Quran in intact as it was during revelations .

Now let us see the type of objection raised by Ibn Masud (r) against the copy of Zaid (r) . From AbuBakr `Abdullah b. abi Da'ud, “K. al Masahif , :

“How can you order me to recite the reading of Zaid, when I recited from the very mouth of the Prophet some seventy Surahs?” “Am I,” asks Abdullah, “to abandon what I acquired from the very lips of the Prophet? “ .

Do you see the objection ? It is about the ‘recitation ‘ not about the textual variation . We know that at that time Arabs can recite a same text in seven different dialects . The dialect that Masud (r) used to recite the Qu’ran was the Bani Huzayl tribe.’s dialect be cause he was from that tribe .This Arabic dialect was among those seven dialects of Qu’ran which Prophet Muhammad (p) approved for recite purpose only. He used not to recite Quarish dialect on which the revelation was made and Zaid and his team wrote the Qu’ran . During the time of Prophet (p) to read the Qu’ran in different seven dialects were permitted , because Prophet (p) himself was present at that time but Muhammad’s (p) scribers were writing it in only one Arabic dialect i.e., in Quarish dialect . That was the official Qu’ran determined by the prophet (p) for all . The following record said it :

Volume 6, Book 61, Number 513:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas:
Allah's Apostle said, "Gabriel recited the Qur'an to me in one way. Then I requested him (to read it in another way), and continued asking him to recite it in other ways, and he recited it in several ways till he ultimately recited it in seven different ways."

But after his death as Muslim kingdom was spread all over the world , the problems of reciting Qu’ran started to raise . Especially in non-Arab regions people started to recite the Qu’ran as they desire and started to write Qu’ran according to the recitation they learnt which might change the original text . To understand this fact easily let us set one example . Assume the following passage is the original text of a religion in USA :

“ The COLOR of the CENTER of my heart is FULFILLED with red which LIT my soul . I MEMORIZE and ANALYZE the last DIALOG between you and me . It was not ARGUMENT at all rather we CRITICIZE ourselves . I DREAMED to have our MEDIEVAL to a tender , a FAVORITE ENCYCLOPEDIA .”

Now if this religion spreads in UK and if the British people wants to read this sacred text , they will recite it in the following ways :

“ The COLOUR of the CENTRE of my heart is FULFILED with red which LIGHTED my soul . I MEMORISE and ANALYSE the last DIALOGUE between you and me . It was not ARGUEMENT at all rather we CRITICISE ourselves . I DREAMT to have our MEDIAEVAL to a tender , a FAVOURITE ENCYCLOPAEDIA .”

Observe carefully the caps lock words . The same language English , but the original one is in American dialect t and the next one is in British dialect . Its fine until if it is only recited . Now imagine if People of UK started to write this sacred text in their own dialect and spread it all over their country , the original text must be distorted as evident from the capital letters . The spelling will be changed, the grammatical structure will be changed and in some cases even the meaning will be changed . More critical situation will arise if this religion will spread in Australia, Canada, Sweeden , Caribbean English speaking countries , East Asian English speaking countries etc. and every one writes the original sacred passage in USA English dialect into their own English dialects , then what going to happen ? It will be a mesh . The sacred passage in original USA dialect will be lost forever .

Such was the problem during the time of Uthman (r) . He wisely undertook the steps of burning others Arabic dialects for Qu’ran and copied only the original delect i.e., quarish . This Uthmatic text is the standard text for the qu’ran of Muslims .

Moreover Ibn Abi Daood (pp . 13-18) and AL-Bidayaah wa an-Nihaayah (v.7,pp. 207) both reported that it was his initial refusal . Latter on he agreed give his personal written Qu’ran in his own dialect . It was reported also that in his Qu’ran he made some personal footnotes and side notes to teach his students the Tafsir (Explanation of Qu’ran) . So his initial denial was quite emotional not instrumental at all.

Ibn Masud claimed to reject chapter 1,113 and 114 of Qu’ran and He (r) further informed that as he learnt the Qu’ran fromProphet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) , hence those chapters were also unknown to Prophet (p) . Strange claim indeed . After a careful study it becomes very clear to us that those are false claims put to the mouth of Ibn Masud (r) after hundred years of his death . Let’s see the reason :

01- Chapter 1 of Qu’ran is called Surah Fatiah (The Opening) which consists of 7 verses . Muslims had been reciting this 7 verses of chapter one in their daily prayers at least 17 times in a day . This had been practicing in Muslims society from the time of prophet (p) till now . Qu’ran itself talked about this chapter in the following verse :

(a) 15:87 "And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-Repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an."

No body ever claimed that Ibn Masud (r) rejected chapter 15 or this specific verse 87 , rather considered it as the revelation of ALLAH (swt). Hence is it not quite strange claim that he rejected those seven verses of Qu’ran i.e. , chapter 01 while in favor of its presence in Qu’ran i.e., 15:87 was accepted by him as the decree of ALLAH (swt) ?
More interesting is so many sources recorded that in the commentary of this verse 15:87 , Ibn Masud (r) himself explained that this verse is indicating to the seven frequently recited verses of Qu’ran i.e. chapter one . How it is possible for him to comment so if he believed that this is not the part of Qu’ran .

(b) Moreover Ibn Masud (r) led the congregational prayers years after years in front of the gathering of thousand Muslims , but no body ever claimed that he didn’t recite the Chapter one in his prayers . And eventually it was natural for him not to recite this seven verses in the prayer if he thought that those are not the part of the holly Qu’ran. Rather he recited it in the prayer just as the common practice for the entire Muslims for carried on for thousand years . If he did so , it would be a huge news for the entire Muslim world . But nothing was reported like that .

(c) Furthermore we have quite an ample records which showed that Prophet Muhammad (p) recited this chapter , described the significance of this chapter , instructed his companions to get this chapter by hearts and to practice in different occasions , especially in congregational prayers each and every day . If I mentioned all of them here together it will cover not less than hundred pages . For your convenience just read a sample of them :
Volume 6, Book 61, Number 528:
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Mu'alla:
While I was praying, the Prophet called me but I did not respond to his call. Later I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I was praying." He said, "Didn't Allah say: 'O you who believe! Give your response to Allah (by obeying Him) and to His Apostle when he calls you'?" (8.24)
He then said, "Shall I not teach you the most superior Surah in the Qur'an?" He said, '(It is),
'Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. ' (i.e., Surat Al-Fatiha) which consists of seven repeatedly recited Verses and the Magnificent Qur'an which was given to me."

02- This is another strange claim made for Ibn Masud (r) that he rejected Chapter 113 and 114 . This claim is also self contradictory, weak and analytically fabricated in the name of Ibn Masud (r) . Lets see :

(a) Lets begin with Ibn Masud (r)himself . Musnade Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi and also Bukhari narrated the following record from Abu Wali that , he said :
"A man came to Ibn Mas`ud and said, `I read the Mufassal chapters (i.e.,from chapter 50 ( Qaf) to chapter 114( An-Nas)) last night in one unit of prayer.' Ibn Mas`ud said, `This is rushing like the haste of reciting poetry.’

When this man came to Ibn Masud (r) to tell him that he recited from chapter 50 to chapter 114, which apparently includes chapter 113 , in only one unit of prayer then Ibn Masud (r) advised him not to do hast or to recite quickly cause to finish such long passages from chapter 50 to chapter 114 should take more time , rather to recite Qu’ran with beautiful rhythm and symphony and slowly . The noticeable thing to care here is if chapter 113 and 114 were not the part of the Qu’ran , Ibn Masud (r) could have burst instantly in anger or in objection for reciting those verses inside in prayer . And obviously if he believed that those chapters were not in Qu’ran he must have reacted strongly .That was quite natural from an excellent companion of prophet (p) like Ibn Masud (r). But he didn’t . The reason was he knew very well that those are the part of the Holly Qu’ran .
(b) One tradition states that Ubayy ibn Ka'b was at one time challenged with the suggestion that Ibn Mas'ud had made certain negative statements about these surahs and he replied that he had asked Muhammad about them and was informed that they were a part of the revelation of the Qur'an and should be recited as such (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 6, p.472) .

Even this charge also dismissed by other companions of prophet (p) in that very early time .

(c) The following few from a large records will clearly show that those two chapters were revealed to Muhammad (p ) and he practiced it and as well he instructed his companions to do it :

Volume 6, Book 61, Number 535:
Narrated 'Aisha:
Whenever Allah's Apostle became sick, he would recite Mu'awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq (113)and Surat An-Nas(114)) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.

Volume 6, Book 61, Number 536:
Narrated 'Aisha:
Whenever thy Prophet go went to bed every night, he used to cup his hands together and blow over it after reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas, Surat Al-Falaq(113)and Surat An-Nas (114), and then rub his hands over whatever parts of his body he was able to rub, starting with his head, face and front of his body. He used to do that three times.
In his Sahih, Muslim recorded on the authority of `Uqbah bin `Amir that the Messenger of Allah said, Do you not see that there have been Ayat revealed to me tonight the like of which has not been seen before) They are Say: "I seek refuge with, the Lord of Al-Falaq…'')(113:1) and (Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind….'') (114:1)) This Hadith was recorded by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i. At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Sahih .

The above discussions in brief showed the fallacy of Ibn Masud ‘s (r) so called rejection of chapter 1,113 and 114 from the Qu’ran .

Peace be upon you.
I'm new and I'm not sure if there is any thread already on this. If there is, then just consider this an Imaan boost.

This thread is just for discussing Miracles within the Quran

No Spam
No Insulting
No Trolling

As usual, Everyone is welcome, Muslims and Non-Muslims. Any contribution is accepted.

Peace be on you.
1- In beginning of Islam, persecutors would mock and say to Muslim why they were being tortured by the hands of infidels, why any punishment would not come for persecutors? They were always told that soon Islam would be triumphant. Within the years, these prophecies were fulfilled.

2- Positive changes in very low morals of barbaric Arabs were brought by the miraculous blessings of Holy Quran and Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him).

3- All necessary truths, wisdom and knowledge is mentioned in the eloquent language of Holy Quran.

4- People who follow Holy Quran with pure heart are granted the various spiritual blessings by Allah. They get ranks, their prayers are anwered, Allah clearly foretells them incidences before these actually happen through dreams or words, they get high morals which are beneficial for humanity, Allah supports them.

I fail to understand your line "Secondly, there are no reports that suggest Uthman forced all the previous Qurans to be burnt." Where, in my reply quoted by you, does the talk of burning the manuscripts of the Koran at orders of Uthman Ibn Affaan appear? If I have not talked of burning of the manuscripts of the Lectures from God collected and seized by him, why are you informing the viewers of their being burned by Caliph Uthman? How shocking it now appears to the non Muslims like us that Muhammad's Lecturer from his Allah copied by his companions were burned to ashes by his son in law the enlightened Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan to ashes to give compilation to his authorized version!

Then you write "All the pieces of the Quran were written down before the death of the Prophet." I fail to understand the word "pieces" attributed by you to the Koran. Was the Koran copied and read as a single book or was it in pieces before getting collected and collated and authorized by Uthman in its present form?

Your reference of Abdullah Ibn Massoud, Muhammad's beloved companion being upset "because he wasn't elected as the one who collected the Quran. He clearly stated it in many ahadith" is your own created wishful fiction and not a historical fact! I challenge you to quote me any reputed book and text of Islamic History that says Abdullah Ibn Massoud was upset for not having been appointed to head Uthman's Koran Committee! The fact has been quoted from Ibn Hushhaam' seerah to Ibn Khaldoon's tareekh and muqaddmeh that Ibn Massoud felt cheated by Uthman's not keeping the promise to return him his own cherished manuscript and after several requests and altercations between the two on this issue, the Caliph Uthman had slapped Ibn Massoud in public in the Medina mosque and had pushed him down the stairs of the entrance to that mosque, causing fracture to ibn Massoud's ribcage and his pelvis and eventual death due to internal injuries.

You are requested to do full research on any historical reference you choose to present here and not pass off your fancies to support your rebuttals!

Dear Union! Peace!

What is my " 'utter-misunderstanding' of the issue in hand"?

It appears to me that my comments are not being purposefully read and understood by you and the originator of this thread on the subject of the Lectures from God to Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, (self claimed last messenger of God on earth and his claim supported by the messages referred to as the Lectures from God also known as the Koran!)

I have only written that the present published text of these Lectures is the authorized text compiled by the orders of the third enlightened Caliph Uthman Ibn Affaan, who also was Muhammad Ibn Abdullah's 2nd son in law, and consists of 114 verses divided in 30 sections and 6666 lines. Is that writing of mine an issue and needs a debate of contention?

I have also written that prior to Uthman, neither Muhammad and nor Abi Bakr Assiddiq and Umar Al Farooq the first and second of the line of the enlightened Caliphs, had considered the action of an edited and common version of the Lectures that existed in various manuscripts with differences in the hands of the literate companions of Muhammad. I also have written that Uthman had ordered the seizure or requested collection of all such manuscripts present in his days to be handed over to an editorial forum headed by his deputy Saeed Ibn Aas. Is that writing of mine an issue as well and misunderstanding of facts by me?

I then had quoted a historical fact documented and quoted by the Peaceful scholars of the annals of Muhammad's biography and the history of Islam (Peace) on earth, which state very clearly that Abdullah Ibn Massoud a cherished companion of Muhammad, known to be a scholar and recorder of Muhammad's traditions and also an eloquent reciter of the Lectures, was coerced by Uthman, to part with his copy of the manuscript of the Lectures (purported to be written after hearing of the revelations from the mouth of Muhammad, by his younger son in law Ali Ibn Abi Talib and gifted by Muhammad to him), for research and compilation of the authorized text, to Uthman, on a solemn promise to return it back after edits were completed. Is that writing of mine any issue or a result of any misconception?

Lastly I had written that Abdullah Ibn Massoud, after not getting back his manuscript from Uthman as was promised by the Caliph to him, made several demands to him for retrieval of his manuscript. These demands resulted in altercations and ultimate slapping of Abdullah Ibn Massoud in public at the Medina mosque (of Muhammad) and being pushed and thrown down the stairs of the mosques gate by non other than the enlightened Caliph Uthman Ibn Affaan. Abdullah Ibn Massoud suffered fractures in his ribcage and pelvis and eventually succumbed to these injuries at home, leaving the world his last wish that the Caliph be prevented to attend to his burial rites. Is this reporting of history by me an issue of contention and based on my misconceptions that you ascribe to me?

Now if you go through the conversation ensuing from my comments in this thread, I hope you shall see what has been answered to abnegate my comments and what unnecessary matter has been put forward as rebuttal to my writings.

Peace unto you . At the very first place this thread is titled 'Miracles in the Qur'an' and what you posted is completely off-topic . Hence the purpose of your post was quite clear . By keeping this in mind I answered you in way so that the readers of your post can see clearly that burning of Qur'an , Objection of Ibn Masud etc, had nothing to do with miracle of Qur'an nor on its preservation as it was delivered to prophet Muhammad .

Thanks . Lets roll this thread they way OP wanted .

With the name of God the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The Quran swears by destruction of stars and the subsequent formation of black holes to prove it is sent by God. (In 53:1 An oath by the destruction of stars is taken, In 56:75-76 An oath by the enormity of this event is taken, In 81:15-18 Formation of black holes which form after the destruction of giant stars and the fact that matter and light cannot escape is mentioned) - Below are the specific ayaat:

53:1: By the star when it Hawa (destructs, blows up)

53:2: Has neither Dalla (gone astray), Your Companion (Muhammad Blessings and Peace of God be upon him) nor Ghawa (nor is being misled)

53:3: Nor does he speak from Hawa (emotion)

53:4: It is not but a Wahi (revelation, inspiration) Yuha (revealed, inspired)

56:75: Fa (So) La (No), uqsimu (I swear, I take an oath) by the mawaq'i (occurrences, events) of the Nujuum (stars)

56:76: And indeed, it is surely an oath - if you knew - Azeem (tremendous, A supernova is a tremendous event during which more energy may be released than the Sun will in its entire life span)

56:77: That (this) is indeed a recital Kareem (honorable, the Qur'an in Arabic).

56:78: In a Book kept Maknoon (hidden).

56:79: Which (that Book with God) none can touch but the Mutaharoon (purified, the angels, the book in which is pre-written everything that will occur)

56:80: (It is) a tanzeel (sending down of revelation) from the Lord of the Alameen (human beings and Jinn (another creation given the gift of speech))

56:81: Then is it to this statement that you are Mudhinoon (indifferent)

56:82: And make (the thanks) for your provision that you Tukaziboon (lie about the Provider)

56:83: Then why (do you) not, when (death) reaches the Hulqoom (throat)

56:84: And you are at that time Tanzuroon (looking on)

56:85: And we (angels) are nearer to him than you, but you do not Tubsiroon (see)

56:86: Then why (do you) not, if you are not to be Madineen (recompensed, punished or rewarded)

56:87: Bring it (the soul) back, if you are Sadiqeen (truthful?)

56:88: If (the deceased) was of the Muqarabeen (close to God, from the foremost in doing good works)

56:89: Then (for him is) rauh and rayhan and a garden of Naeem (pleasure)

56:90: And if he was of the Ashab Al-Yameen (people of the right)

56:91: Then salam (safety from all bad things, paradise as well) for you, from the Ashab Al-Yameen.

56:92: But if he was from the Mukazibeen (liars and who were) Daaleen (astray, e.g. people with lots of money who didn't care about the starving)

56:93: Then (for him is) accommodation of Hameem (intensely hot scalding water)

56:94: And burning in Jaheem (intense Hellfire)

56:95: Verily, this! This is Haq-ul-Yaqeen (the Truth with certainty)

56:96: Fa sabbih (So declare free from faults) the name of your Lord, Al-Azeem (Tremendous)

81:15: Fa (So) La (No), uqsimu (I swear, I take an oath) by Khunnas (drawn together objects) (When a massive star destructs, it subsequently draws together i.e. 10 times the mass of the sun is drawn to within a 30 km diameter in the stellar category of black holes)

81:16: Those that run (their courses) and Kunnas (sweep whatever is in their path, matter cannot escape)

81:17: And the night as it us'us (the darkness of a black hole is different than regular darkness)

81:18: And the light as it Tanaffus (As it gets pulled in, even light cannot escape)

81:19: Verily, this is the Word (this Qur'an brought by) a messenger Kareem (honourable, Jibrael (Gabriel), from God to the last human messenger)

81:20: (Who is) possessed of power and with the Owner of the Arsh (uppermost construction in heaven), Makeen (secure in position),

81:21: Obeyed there (in the heavens) and Ameen (trustworthy)

81:22: And your companion is not (at all) Majnoon (mad)

81:23: And he has already seen him (Gabriel) in the horizon Mubeen (clear)

81:24: And he (the last messenger) is not with the unseen Daneen (a with-holder, concealer of knowledge)

81:25: And it (the Qur'an) is not the word of Satan, Rajeem (expelled from the heavens).

81:26: So where are you Tazhaboon (going?)

81:27: It (the Quran) is not except a remembrance for the Alameen

81:28: For whoever wills among you that (he or she) Yastaqeem (stay straight, do what is right and avoid straying from what is right)

81:29: And you will not, except (it be) that Allah wills - Lord of the Alameen.

3:84: Say, "We have believed in Allah (God) and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat (the tribes from the twelve sons of Ya'qub), and in what was given to Musa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) and to the Nabbiyun (those who brought news of the unseen) from their Lord. We make no division between any of them, and we to (God) are Muslimoon (those who submit to God)".
