Misappropriation of the word 'racist' used against Trump

Nahwns Reefglin

Servant of the Far Ones
Nothing you've said (to me) is literally an attack on me. I believe it is not possible to do that. But rules are rules. Make it about the point up for discussion rather than persona of posters.

I did not say anything about me breaking the rules. I was talking about d homenien. Why did you change the subject?

Nahwns Reefglin

Servant of the Far Ones
No, that's an implication from the reported trend. The original post said:

You added in the "...that black people are more violent" part. Even that isn't racist, it would be stereotyping.

One last chance to address my posts, instead of trying to shift around the subject after that I'm leaving you in your comfort bubble.

Ad hominen relates to the rules. Trying to have you focus on ideas up for discussion rather than personas. This will be my last post on this in this thread. If you care so much about this side debate, you're welcome to PM me.

I did address the post. The OP doesn't bring up an example of racism (in what you quoted), and your added implication to wording of OP is still not racism.

Saying that a race does that because they are that race is what you people call "racist".

If your so scared of being called a word you shouldn't be on the internet.

No, thinking this is racist makes you intellectually impaired. Several supposed stereotypes are trends, and that's where your understanding is failing. Also, your idea isn't congruent with the dictionary definition of the term.

Racism:

1: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2: racial prejudice or discrimination.

Prejudice is another word that gets confused:
  1. Injury or damage resulting from some judgment or action of another in disregard of one's rights; especially : detriment to one's legal rights or claims
  2. Preconceived judgment or opinion (2) : an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge
  3. An instance of such judgment or opinion
  4. An irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.
Both of these do not apply to people who have valid reasons for their opinion even if it is negative to a particular race. But, please, continue to argue with the dictionary.

I posted the OP mostly because several times on this forum I have been accused of racism for remarks that were factually supported. Some people on the forum have an agenda that has nothing to do with promoting the truth but rather a distorted reality that has no basis at all. They have been promoting fear, intolerance, and fascism against competing ideas on this basis and I'm calling them on it. These individuals assume that because I am white and I've mentioned a fact that I am racist. It's ridiculous, it's garbage, and moreover it is so wrong they just need to shut their mouths. People aren't racists because they say something you dislike, so get over it.

I'm done with the racist word being thrown around...

Several things are not racist:

1) Being against illegal aliens, or others that reside outside of your country because you feel they are damaging your country economically or otherwise. Especially, if there are some valid reasons to the claim or statistics involved. This is called being a protectionist.

2) Complaining that you feel you are discriminated against because you have a position of being anti-illegal alien and there is a good chance the judge in the case is related to a few. You are not racist if you complain about this even if you are a white guy, to say this is so to be a racist yourself. This "white" person is entitled to have his case heard by people who would not be biased against him, just as anyone else should.

3) Saying that certain races of people have certain traits when trends and statistics back that claim. For example, black on black crime or rape outbreaks in the countries accepting refugees. There are hard numbers for these things, so people stating it are not racist. They probably aren't helping the people they mention much, but it's probably worse to ignore the issue entirely.

4) Commenting against Syrian refugees in any way after having the information from events that have already happened in countries that are having problems. Look, no one wishes them harm, but we've seen what happens and to do the same as others are questionable. There should be a better plan in place than, "Hey, let's do something just exactly the same stupid way as country X!", when we know it doesn't work! Making this point is not racist either if again it can be proven it is problematic.

5) RACISM DOESN'T: Apply to being a Syrian or Mexican, these are nationalities or processes of enforcing laws we already have on the books regarding illegal aliens.

RACISM IS ONLY THINKING YOU ARE SUPERIOR TO PEOPLE BASED ON _YOUR_ RACE OR DISCRIMINATING AGAINST THEM ON A NON-LOGICAL BASIS. BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES ARE BEING COMPLETELY SPINELESS.

What COHESIVE races are in each political party? That's right, none... There is every race in both the Democrats and the Republicans. I'm getting tired of the misinformation, and the chicken ****s that will not speak up and say it correctly. Anyone calling these things racist needs to be denounced for the absolute ridiculousness of their ignorance. Anyone pandering to people by embracing these foolish definitions of racism are just opportunists seeking to deceive others.

Racism is a big enough problem, we don't need to derail the attention that should be placed on its awareness by spinning our wheels on things are completely unrelated.

1. What you "feel" about illgeal aliens is irrelevant- facts are what matter and it is from facts from which conclusions should be based.

2. Thinking there is a "good chance" that a judge of a certain ethnic group may be related to illegal aliens is definitely racist because it is based, not on knowledge of the individual, but conclusions drawn from the colour of the judges skin.

3. The question is whether these statistics show a correlation or a causation between ethnic groups and criminal activity. That relationship cannot be assumed. Assuming such a relationship without demonstrating causation is racist.

4. Assuming all Syrians are the same and therefore that that letting them come into the country based on other countries "having problems" will cause problems is racist as your deriving a conclusion based on group identity not individual actions.

5. the racial profiling that ethnic group X is more likely to be an illegal alien is racist. The law must protect the rights of victims and criminals alike. In so far as saying that illegal aliens are criminals does not entail that enforcing the law necessarily legitimises denying the rights of illegal aliens to a fair trial and the presumption of innocence.

1 - Illegal alien is particularly defined. It is any resident who is neither a citizen nor green card holder. Your definitions, and in fact mine mean nothing.

2 - Historically, this judge is involved in groups that support illegal aliens. Where is your claim of racism now? Trump knows this, and it's the low-hanging fruit that anyone who has sense would bring to the court. It is valid to assume that this judge cannot be impartial just like a judge who has family members in a gang cannot preside over a RICO case in relation to that gang. I don't know why this is so hard to figure out, but everyone deserves a fair trial and this ain't it.

3 - No one has to demonstrate easily available criminal statistics. In the USA, you can get as much data as you want it doesn't care what color those people are -- the data is available in the town. county, state, and nationwide presentations. You cannot foist the responsibility of investigating publically available data onto other people. If you disagree with a claim stop being lazy and find the data yourself, it is not other peoples jobs to find facts for you. They are not racist because you are lazy. Most people who are aware of the public data have read it, and assume (rightly) that you can do the same.

4 - If a trend supports a notion then we obviously are doing nothing more scandalous than calling a Syrian a Syrian. Various groups or tribes of people have various social norms, inclinations to crime, and other preferences. Are you denying that is so? Is it within your ability to understand that certain tribes or cultures are inflammatory or harmful to one another based on basic comparisons? Not really sure where you are going with this at all. People are different, but it is a reach to assume that being cognizant of this is racist. If anything, I feel being aware of the particulars makes you more culturally-aware.

5 - Not if it is true, and most of the illegal aliens are Hispanic in the USA. This judge is not under trial and therefore has no rights in regard to the case, but if he was under trial I would bring his involvement with organizations that support law breakers to the forefront. He's an easy target, and I'm sure Trump will easily be able to get any judgment vacated on this basis due to this judge's pronounced bias. Illegal aliens are criminals by default, so there is no point in addressing the rest of it. If you get into the country without following the immigration channels you have already shown your nature. You can't be a law-abiding citizen and an illegal alien. Are people afraid speak the truth?

You can't be a law-abiding citizen and an illegal alien. Are people afraid speak the truth?

1. The question is whether illegal aliens can be held responsible for an accusation that "they are damaging the country, economically or otherwise." The definition of illegal alien is not relevant to understanding whether they are in fact responsible for whatever they have been accused of.

2. That is fair as a potential conflict of interest and may be grounds for a mis-trial.

3. I am not asking for statistics- I am asking for someone to demonstrate that ethnic identity plays a causal relationship in crime statistics rather than being a co-incidental correlation.

4. In the west, irrespective of cultural background, individuals are held accountable for their actions not their beliefs or associations. This is a necessary basis for the presumption of innocence in which the burden of proof is on the accuser to demonstrate harm or criminal activity. It is not the job of the accused to demonstrate their innocence for actions which they are not responsible for or directly involved in. Belief in Collective guilt is not valid reasoning to demonstrate individual guilt or responsibility.

5. the presumption of innocence means that it must be demonstrated in a court of law that these people are illegal aliens. You have to prove that such persons are indeed illegal aliens on the basis of evidence. The truth must first be established. Accusation is not proof, here say is not evidence and suspicision is not guilt.

Make the accusation by all means. But do not expect it to be treated as truth without evidence, especially if you are talking about the deprivation of people's rights such as being deported and held in custody.

This isn't the Middle Ages, and we do not assume to know the nature of people based on race the same as we do not assume women are naturally predisposed to witch-craft.

If that is a problem for you, I'm sure if you go to Syria ISIL will be more than happy to judge you on the basis of your "nature" as a non-Muslim in the manner of legal proceedings more to your liking.

Deportees in this country are actually treated pretty well. Illegal aliens in other countries are treated miserably by comparison. Again, we are talking about people who broke a law being held in jail. Thier future freedom was questionable the minute they decided to hop the Rio Grande without papers.

There are individuals who do not follow various trends, but trends are established for a reason. Most of the stereotypes regarding races or cultures are grounded in a real basis of experience. Do you engage people in ways determined by your previous life experience, or do you assume that every single person is a unique snowflake? I find it silly to argue this because most people identify with various groups and live within the norms of these conceptions. What are the chances of Christian Fundamentalists supporting abortions or LGBTQ rights? Pretty low, and thus a trend has occurred. It is not <insert pejorative here> to point out their biases and be aware of them. This is completely illogical, and everyone uses whatever information they receive to make decisions regarding others.

If that is a problem for you, I'm sure if you go to Syria ISIL will be more than happy to judge you on the basis of your "nature" as a non-Muslim in the manner of legal proceedings more to your liking.

I accept your defeat. At least, if that is what you mean by passively-aggressively wishing that violence is inflicted on me for making statements you disagree with. All you are doing is reinforcing my notions that the far-left are evil and fascist extremists that do more harm than good. Thanks!

Anyways, I was pointing out that saying that because there is high black on black crime that black people are more violent is racist by definition because that is saying that the blacks are inherently more violent than most other races.
Can a view both be correct and 'racist' at the same time? For example, I do believe African-Americas are inherently better in certain sport fields than Asian-Americans.

I gladly accept the title of evil fascist far-left extremist MM. If you think your being a racist bothers me, in terms of what I think and feel- I am as racist as anyone else. There difference is that whilst I am a product of a racist society I made a conscious decision not to accept it and to try to live up to the standards I want to hold others to.

What sickens me is that you are too cowardly to just say what you really think because your frightened other people will judge it and by implication you, as politically incorrect so you have to manipulate and deceive people to pass yourself off as something more respectable. That's really despicable.

Just be a racist. As troubling as it is, I would much prefer you had the self-respect to get it out in the open.

Put on the uniform, goose step on parade, and make your beliefs known. Do you really think that people calling you "racist" is going to bother you? Would it even matter if you were right what everyone else thinks? Aren't their sacrifices worth making for a cause you belief to be "just" and "right" whatever I or someone else might think?

If you think deporting large groups of people based on their ethnic origins is worth doing don't you have the self respect to actually say it and take the all the **** that you are going to force on others?

If you want to be in the master race, get a back bone! Then you can figure out how you want to deal with "cultural Marxists" such as myself for undermining western culture.

Seems that the overused term "racist" is used most often today by those who personally stand to benefit by keeping the "racist" pot stirred. Very sad for the vast majority of us who really do just want to live together equally and peacefully regardless of our race.

Except that's not correct. First, African-Americans aren't a race. Even East and West Africans are not the same race. Africa is the most genetically diverse continent, in terms of human populations. Yes, there are some sports that black athletes have been shown to dominate. Long-distance running, especially. but this success in long-distance running is mostly confined to Kenyans, and one tribe, at that - the Kalenjin. It does seem that the Kalenjin have certain physical attributes that make them better at marathon running. So they will generally perform better in such activities. But most black Americans wouldn't be of Kenyan descent.

African-Americans are hardly a homogeneous group. The ones who are descended from slaves would have a variety of West and Central African ethnicities and tribes in their heritage. They would also have a fair amount of European and Native American heritage - even a lot of Asian mixed in there, because there were a lot of marriages and relationships between black Americans and Chinese-Americans. Then there's also the newer African immigrants, adding to the mix. So they're very mixed. European-Americans are much the same. We're a bunch of mutts.

Your personalization of the conversation is irrelevant, unjustified, and makes you look like a complete fool. Just stop. What grossly racist society do you live in? Are you Chinese? There are currently no western societies that are overtly racist. Are the ones taking refugees racist? Are the states in the USA paying welfare and other benefits to illegals racist? Hmm, yea... The argument is pretty irrational, eh? A racist society wouldn't even allow a single one of these things to happen they're just put sniper towers all along the border and invest in bullets. (Hi, North Korea!)

What sickens me is that you are too cowardly to just say what you really think because your frightened other people will judge it and by implication you, as politically incorrect so you have to manipulate and deceive people to pass yourself off as something more respectable. Dig the strawman, but incorrect. I've not made a single racist comment, but we're not talking about me but rather your perverted social dogma at this point. I mean do you realize how absolutely and completely absurd you sound? So, now I am a nazi because I presented a reasoned argument and you don't like the reasons? This is just complete and utter logical fallacy in the extreme. You can't win because you don't make sense, and now you know it yourself. You go from even talking about the issue to just typing every single pile of refuse from the defeated leftist playbook you can find.

So, I guess we should be forced to accept people who steal themselves into our country as equal to those who live here? Would that keep you happy? Seriously, **** fascism in every way. You can't see any problems with this? I mean, at all? Wow... MUCH BIAS. Let's support people who are not citizens of our country even more than our own because that makes sense!

My folks came here legally, and played by the rules. They can to, if they were willing to even try! Why exactly do they deserve to get a free pass? Ohh yea, because they're Hispanic. Pot, meet kettle. I use the word Hispanic more because the truth of it is that we're really talking about illegal immigrants from the entirety of everywhere south of the USA not just Mexicans, not because I'm a racist. Perhaps you have me confused, see... I am not pro-racist, but rather pro-American. I just feel you need to be on the right side of the fence unless you decide to legally come here. Someone's race is largely irrelevant to me past certain relevant demographic data, and I don't think i am the one with the issue.

You won't be happy unless everyone here is forced to conform with your will, so maybe it is you that has the problem.

Being left and non-fascist: I want single-payer health care, equality, and care about the environment as well as democracy and people deserve an education. (Bernie is lefty, and non-fascist) I am concerned with the environment, and poverty. Politically, I am concerned with working with all parties to come up with a solution. Illegal immigrants need a transition plan that allows them to become legal residents.

Being left and fascist: You are a nazi and racist because you won't give all of your money away to entitlement programs and illegal immigrants. Let's force you to do it with legislation. I vote according to my race if I am not white, and if I am white I go along with whatever those "others" do because they are more racially aware and I've been self-depreciating my culture to accommodate them. I'm also an SJW 3.0, get triggered a lot, and you must do as I say! Illegals don't need a transition plan because they're humans and all humans deserve all of our money!
