Go to Google, and type in "miserable failure". The first result that comes up will prove humourous to some. ;)

It's called google bombing or something isn't it? Part of the way that Google ranks pages is based on the anchor text of the incoming links to that page. If you get enough people to link to a page with the same anchor text you could do that for any page.

Yes and, funny or not, the practice is, in my opinion, juvenile and abusive - comparable to graffiti.
Alternatively it highlights a failure in the current system and allows people to solve the problem so that it can no longer be abused.

Typing that into Google and clicking on "I'm feeling lucky" still cracks me up :).
