I have heard the hard-core Trumpians are being encouraged to vote for Sanders in open primaries as that is seen as the easiest opponent of the major contenders.

Next question if Trump triumphs again: Will day one of the new term include an effort to repeal the two-term limitation?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
All the candidates including Trump have to live past the polling day to have a chance of getting elected.
The chances of them all making it are not that good, and it is not all down to age.
But looking on the dark side Trump can only have four more years to do his worst, before he is replaced.

In the British system they have five years, and as many repeats as they can keep winning.
I'm a huge proponent of term limits. No politician from any party or any office should have unlimited terms.

Look at poll averages, not single polls. Since when do conservatives believe polls anyways?

From your article: (good luck in Nov, you're gonna need it)
Just over 4 in 10 (42%) registered voters feel that Trump should be reelected, while a majority (55%) say it is time to have someone new in the Oval Office

Anything other than a Sanders/Gabbard ticket guarantees a Trump reelection. Trump would embarrass anybody else. Warren, Klobuchar, Buttiegig, or Biden would not know how to handle someone who has no shame in hitting below the belt. And because there is a huge "Stop Bernie" movement taking place inside the DNC, it's very likely they succeed in stopping him only to hand the election to Trump. But that doesn't matter to them. Because the Democrats would rather lose the White House again to Trump than win it with Sanders.

I was once wary of Sanders then I saw the graph of the drop in religiosity among American young people.
Also, I loved Sanders on Fox last Sunday showing how Trump benefitted from $800,000 worth of subsidies and tax breaks - a socialist system that is already in place - it's just that Bernies socialism is for working people not billionaires. That the kind of argument is needed to quell fears of "socialism".
