hello all
i am a new member to this site and i must say that i really enjoy the time i spend on here. i love getting a chance to see the different view on life, politics and religion.
i would like to throw a question out there and see what you all think. so here it is,
"Do you think that the worlds morals are being guided more by Political, Religious or other tendencies. if you belive they are neither political or religious, please tell me what you think.
thanks and hope to hear responses soon.

Both; the morals that political systems enforce are based on religious morals. Over time, however, some of these religious ties to systems has diminished, due to diversity and the need for secular governments. Of course, this varies from country to country.

Additionally, it cannot be absolutely one or the other; an atheist can be a decent without religion, and a theist can be decent without government.

In many cases, morals simply come from instinct. Humans naturally know that they should not commit murder or theft. Religions and governments only reinforce these ideas because they present solid punishments.

So far as I can see, people's morals are more driven by innate needs and desires, although heavily influenced by their community, and to a lesser extent by other factors. I'm speaking in generalities here, of course.

I can't really speak for other people, but the morals I hold close to my heart and the ethics I live my life by are governed more by common sense than anything else. I.E. avoid drinking and having sex because these things can have unpleasant consequences...
