Morbid Humor

Do you consider Morbid or Dark humor unethical? Or is a morbid sense of humor alright in your book?

Morbid humor revolts and sickens me. I'd rather fornicate with a zombie than even attempt to make a morbid joke, no matter how lame it was.

Okay I see what you did there. Does it really sicken you? Or was that just part of the joke?

I as well, Heck I probably take mine too far...

I always take it too far. Like during an open-casket funeral wake for a woman, asking someone if they think she will be ****-shamed in heaven because they put too much make-up on her, because they always do, am I right?

Yes sir! I once laughed at a old woman crossing the road... She smelled like old mushrooms.

I think morbid humor is "rude" if you are using morbid humor to get your self off on someone who finds no humor in it but instead is revolted.Kind of like farting in someones face and it makes them throw up.

Other than that morbid humor is not rude amongst those that enjoy it.

Yeah I mean like, just cause someone has a morbid sense of humor doesn't mean they are a Psychopath.

I don't think that's "morbid"/.Morbid "humor"( maybe I have been over exposed?) would be jokes about babies in blenders and microwaves and rape jokes or holocaust jokes.

No it means they COULD be but not that they are.:flirt:

Most psychopaths I don't think are that funny anyway so thats a good start.:)

Well I didn't want to post something like that... I figure it would be against the rules.

I LOVE dark comedy. Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle are some of my favourite comedians

So you think your dad was some sort of socio or psycho path? You don't have to tell me.Just ...you can if you feel like it.

Well, he was very abusive during my early childhood. He never seemed to care too much... I don't want to go into any details. I am not sure exactly what he was, He just wasn't much of a father. I try not to blame him so much, He had a terrible childhood himself. Peace.

I was at a funeral once and my brother leans over and whispers, "Hey, I just came for the food." The guy in front of us turned around and scolded us. The deceased, our cousin, very fond of food and humour, would have laughed... heartily.

Another brother and I thought we should rig Dad's body to pop up, but figured we might cause some heart attacks so decided not to. His sisters were too serious.

Humour can be very beneficial, obviously, but it is always a good idea to consider the feelings of those who receive it, at least if you care about their feelings etc.

I've laughed at plenty of sexist/racist/stereotypical jokes, as well as told 'em - but only with certain people who I know will find them funny and not be upset by them.

I like all humour. Watch:

What's the worst part of having sex with a 16 year old? Getting the blood out of your policeman costume!
