More senseless school shootings

I have my theory but I'm going to keep it to myself until more information is out, but I'm sure with the "right demographic" I'm sure the lone-wolf-bullied-in-school-mental-illness card will be played.....But meanwhile at the WH:

According to Vox the day of the tragedy #45 had other things on his mind:

"
Here's what Trump has been tweeting about instead of talking about the school shooting
The Kentucky school shooting took place at Marshall County High School on Tuesday morning. At least two people were killed in the shooting, and 18 were injured. A 15-year-old male student was taken into custody by local law enforcement, but his identity is currently unknown to the public.

Late Tuesday night, many hours after news of the Kentucky school shooting, Trump mocked Schumer on Twitter for his “humiliating defeat” in the recent showdown between Democrats and Republicans over funding for the border wall and the status of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy that led to a brief government shutdown:

Trump also tweeted about the lost text messages of two FBI agents. The story of the missing texts between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok — who was formerly part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation — has gained steam over the past few days as conservative media outlets have used it to suggest a supposed plot to undermine Trump’s presidency.

I think the video Bowling for Combine has a very documentary with interviews with people who have a good idea of why this is happening in the USA. It is probably available in your local library.

News Networks are fine for reporting things usually, but they are always wrong in their political analysis and also sensationalist. Anything scary or horrible they drum up and are actually part of the problem because of it.

An unarmed nutter sits in the corner crying.
A knife-wielding nutter causes injuries, and possibly some deaths, before some brave bystander disarms him.
A gun-toting nutter kills dozens before he is killed himself.

Ban weapons - in particular guns - and you'll see this phenomenon become much more rare.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
So many school attacks recently. Russia had a knife-attack in school with 15 wounded last week.
You know it's kind of funny because inner-city schools years and decades ago had instances of violence going on all the time, it started being newsworthy when a lot of people moved out of the city into the suburbs then it became the next big media thing.

Anyways school shootings are nothing new. It's been going on since the 1700s.

More important than obesity and alcohol abuse?

Obesity alone is responsible for exponentially more deaths in one week than all the mass shootings in history combined.

Obesity has a plethora of reasons, one it could be thyroid issues, two sometimes BMI does not account for muscle mass therefore you can be deemed overweight. Three, obesity could be caused by stress and/or environmental issues that turns into behavioral. Alcohol abuse is indeed an issue but like obesity it is both behavioral and environmental. Alcohol itself is not the issue, it is the relationship between alcohol abuse and operating a motor vehicle. When discussing mass shootings we are talking about a group of people in one confined spot

Yes, things lead to obesity. Things also lead to shootings. In fact, every single thing that happens, or will ever happen, or has ever happened, has had things leading to it. So what?

Hundreds dead from mass shootings vs millions and millions dead from obesity, and that's not even needing to mention alcohol abuse which also has an exponentially bigger, ongoing death count than all the combined mass shootings of history.

You're comparing a firecracker to Hiroshima.

Well when it's your child and you share the story of your child being killed I'm sure in response to your grief we can all say "so what?"
