I am pointing out "counted" because so many urbanites vote but their votes don't count as much as rural votes do.

Very simple. democrats have been in charge of the major murder cities for a long time. They have taken billions in money to improve conditions for their citizens, and poverty is worse. Because of the unions, the schools in these city's are producing illiterates. On the other hand, democrats deplore the idea of accountability and self reliance. They have convinced their citizens that goodies from them somehow is what a person should aspire to. So they are thrilled with a free phone and food stamps, and keep voting in their keepers

Can we get a Murder rate for Big Cities that are Republican in affiliation to compare?

Without such information I would say. Big Cities are going to attract crime small location and a lot of people easy to find target. Rural cities Large area and small population very hard to run a crime syndicate. Big cities large minority groups will be Democrat. Rural areas can be so small just family members live there so have an equal chance of being Republican or Democrat.

Can we get numbers for rural Republican cities vs rural democratic cities of a similar population? That would probably show something useful.

Where did the Republican cities over 100,000 people list for the year 2015. With out a comparison it is useless. All cities over 100,000 could be democrat for all I know.

Not sure what you (or others) are trying to get at. Those were the top 25 cities for murder per 100,000 people in 2015 (FBI crime stats). The political affiliation (majority) is the result of the 2016 presidential election (feel free to Google each city). It is not that hard to look at the data.

FBI crime stats: Google it. Public info. Look at murder rates per year, and the cities that had the highest per 100,00 people.

Election results: Google it. City by city.

Combine the two data fields. Presto! Not that freaking hard.

Now that we have that out of the way, WHY is this happening in those cities? Why is it that heavy Democrat leaning cities have the top 25 spots? That is the topic of discussion.
