Muslims - Is all seafood halal?

This thread is so funny. Instead of worrying what this scholar said and what that madhab says, why not just listen to what Allah (our creator, the reason we exist!) said...

[2:173] He has ONLY forbidden for you what is already dead, the blood, the meat of pig, and what was dedicated to other than God. Whoever finds himself forced out of need and without disobedience or animosity, there is no sin upon him. God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

Ok so 4 things forbidden. Everything else is allowed. But what Sheikh Yahbuti and Sheikh Yurass playing Gods on Earth? They have made unlawful many things that are not mentioned in GODS book, All Quran. I wonder if this ever happened before in history? Hmm... Let's read...

Whats also funny is an unqualified fuqaha!

Also, it is clear in Quran that anything vile is haram.. So how would one determine what is vile? Seem Haneefa (ra) thought it was anything the Arab muslims didn't eat. It is not even comparable to the Jews who made what was clearly halal into haram and what was clearly haram into halal.

I would like to mention, just for note, I am not a follower of the Hanafe madhab. Instead I follow mostly the Shafi'i madhab. As I started off Salafi, but upon coming clear oe should follow a madhab in the basics, I chose shafi'i as it is the closest to what salafis practice in terms of prayer, wudu, etc.

So I do eat crabs and shrimp. But in the way the madhab founders showed each other respect, I too respect whoever wishes to follow Hanafe madhab.
