Once again, its an another truthful information. But, as far as you don't see any need for a justification is not a justification :)

Well, you're right it's not a justification, but since I don't see any need for a justification in this instance, I guess that's that. :)

Exactly this is what the message I want to pass through this thread.
Well I'm sorry to say that you did a poor job of it.

That there's a big difference between "Wordly-matters" and "Godly" isn't ? my friend :)
Many believers seem to want us to think that way but I've never been convinced. If a god is presented as creator, unchallengeable ruler and a routine direct influence on the world, how separate could it really be?

I'm an atheist but god still effects my life.
My grandchildren have to go to religious schools, my parliamentary 2nd chamber has unelected bishops, religion influences the laws of the land,
Why shouldn't I debate this cancer on my life?

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
I don't debate about God. But I do want to see the Gods of influence and ultimatums on my life disappear. And if I could help with that, great!

Honestly I don't know why people have not imagined a better God than the Abrahamic psychobabble in those holy books.

If I were to debate God, I'd be interested in debating the existence of God in general.

It seems to me that an honest truth seeker is going to be an agnostic atheist, instead of an armchair holy book thumper.

Seriously I've imagined far better of a God than what's out there.

People have made quite nice from totally bad religions though.

Other then that I sometimes find religious jargon useful: such as angels and demons, Gods and devils. I believe in the idea of good vs. evil. The mythological influence of these ideas is often apparent. However there is legitimate good and real evil in the world. There's much to be yet discovered about what is truly good, and what is evil. God is just an imagined ideal of good that is sorely lacking in goodness. I don't think people of God religions have thought thoroughly enough about good and evil, and morality. Their justifications and reasoning in these areas is seriously faulty and weak.

Finally monotheism has blinded people to what is actually real, factual, and true. Some of the people on RF try to get God believers to start using their minds moreso instead of disregarding the faculties of reason. I think that can be quite a noble cause.

I don't. I'd much rather get on with the business of learning about the gods and practicing due respects. Unfortunately, theists have to deal with constant belligerence. I'd find it more annoying if such petty belligerence wasn't simply routine in the human species. I see the same sort of backbiting nonsense in fandoms too. Or in politics. Or in any number of hundreds of other things. It's like folks can't handle others have different preferences and priorities for some reason.

I don't care what other people believe as far as gods and religions go. They should have the right to believe and practice as they wish. It becomes a problem however when people act upon their beliefs in ways that victimize innocent people or threaten the rights and freedoms of others.

Because debating one of the theories about the existence of the universe is a worthy thing to do.

That is, ultimately, a philosophical/rational exercise.

Ergo, big fun. For the atheist, at least.

Because many people who do believe in gods try to stuff their religious beliefs and rules down society's throat.
Also because our society / culture literally descends from one where that was the natural order of the day and eventhough we have secular democracies now, we still carry that baggage.

In short: because beliefs inform actions.

Note however, that I don't "just" debate on god beliefs. I'll happily debate on any subject of which I feel irrational and/or faith-based belief has negative consequences for people's lives and / or society at large. Like climate change denial, the anti-vaccine crowd, etc etc.
