My Fellowman is Insane

There is a phrase, 'having a change of heart.'

I think it adequately describes what goes on in a person. It is neither from myself, nor from you, that other people can be changed. All such deep changes that changes a person's worldview have to happen within that person, come from their own desires.

When you ask me I have examined my system, the question reflects back on yourself, naturally. My older brother is an atheist, or agnostic, his children all have very disparaging views on believers. I grew up in a country devoted to customs and evolution. So, have I examined myself - most assuredly I have.

So you studied Christianity in a practical, mechanical manner and determined that Christianity is true and EVERY OTHER religion past and present is false using the same unbiased standards? Can you describe the process you used and what evidence you found convincing during your studies?

I believe the Bible true; I do not believe that the churches (any of them) teach the Bible without serious flaws.

I have found that you cannot change people with evidence; an acquaintance preaches the flat-earth gospel. I presented him with proof of his being wrong (wrote a file on the subject); he got mad at me, though I never insulted his intelligence, only praised him. I insulted the flat-earth teaching.

I also like to insult the teaching of the black hole that explodes (singularities), inflates without reason (simply never happened), and without reason or cause creates an orderly universe containing complex life of a sort that cannot be mimicked by the highest educated in the land.

If people can sell such ideas to the drugged masses (opium for the people), no wonder that there are a lot of people being taken by their noses to the cleaners.
So, have you examined your own biases?!

The do unto others thing loses something if you claim it comes from a god that puts itself above following its own rules.
well gee.....Someone has to be in charge.....

so...He would do unto you.....as you have done unto others
and maybe.....
He would stand back and let a bad thing happen to you

kinda the scheme of things ....as a god

as for the rules.....reality has a set of rules
I doubt if He will break them for you
so don't step off of any high places to find out
if you are hungry......go buy some bread
don't try eating stones
and if you ever think yourself important....try wearing a crown
see how that works for you

I tend to think....God gave Man dominion

You avoided answering my question. I'm happy to answer questions you have but only if you answer mine. We can't have an honest discussion/debate if one of us is ducking questions. So I'll ask again.

Do unto others comes from the bible, the same book that describes how god murdered children on several occasions. So, yea, the god of the bible has worse morals and ethics than EVERY single human being I've ever met. If you want to praise and worship a mass murderer, have at it. I myself cannot justify the mass murder of children.

hmmmm......such conflict!

and when you and God meet Face to face.....
how will you resolve it?

sounds like an op

You created a question that in general is impossible to answer as you very well know yourself. When faced with a conundrum, a paradox, there are times where there are ways, we have ways, so to say, to solve this Gordian knot. As perhaps Alexander might have had by cutting it in half, if that story is true. Similarly, your Gordian knot has as simple a solution. Of course, if you are a good philosopher worth his salt, you will deny this and further complicate matters beyond all need, like any good French philosopher Catholic priest also would.

What then is my solution to your Gordian knot? Again, simplicity scores a goal. When I, you, teachers in general, teach small schoolchildren beginners math, we might teach them that 1 +1 =2, 2+3=5, and so forth. Once you teach them e.g. that 3+3=6, you do not continue that specific number lesson by teaching them until eternity that 3 +3 =! (equals not)1, or 2, or 3 or 5, and so forth. Having taught them the truth and demonstrated it to be true with proof on the line of numbers, the truth alone displaces all need to continue any further examination of this particular Gordian knot.

In the above, a general truism is demonstrated, namely, that having found what is true makes any further search for it a waste of time.

Christianity is not true! All churches teach dogma in which serious flaws are contained. You cannot find any single church that does not contain flaws in its dogma.
The Bible is true. If you use a Harmonious Interpretation of all Scripture, you may attain to the truth of its teachings.

Comments welcome.

So your stance on this is that might makes right? It must be to support a child killer simply because he is too powerful to stop or punish. The only other option is that you believe it is morally expectable to murder children. Which is it?

Your post was completely bereft of any reason and logic. Truth is supported by reason and evidence. Since Christianity is not supported by any reason and evidence it cannot be true. Which means it is just ancient superstitious nonsense, like tales about Zeus and Ra. I'd ask you to support your religion with reason and evidence but you have none to provide. Have a nice day.

on your way to heaven .....Someone might stand in your way
try pushing
then try circumventing
then wrestle
then trick or distract

then you get to hang out with others that think like you do

that will be ok......

There is no heaven. It's just something ancient superstitious men made up. It's rational to fear death. It's irrational to believe in fantastical myths about afterlives without a single rational argument or shred of evidence to support them. If heaven existed that would be great but I'm not a child. Believing something, especially something extraordinarily fantastical JUST because you want it to be true is irresponsible and dishonest. Have fun with that.

and you hang around religious forums for.......what?

JUST hoping no one points out the flaw in your disbelief?

Please be so kind as to point out the flaw in his belief.

You might actually get it done, though I am not holding my breath.

It's a clear sign that a theist has nothing to come back with when they use the old "why are atheists on a religious forum" complaint. Last time I checked this is the DEBATE forum. To have a debate, the people involved naturally need to hold different views, yes? Wouldn't be much of a debate forum if everyone just sat around agreeing with each other all day. Instead of complaining why don't you point out the flaw in my disbelief? That might be interesting.

there are 7billion copies of a learning device wandering about this planet
each one creates a unique spirit

to say it all ends in dust is illogical

without the afterlife pending ....
Man is a mystery with no resolve

what?....7billion souls and not one survives the last breath?
not one chance.....in billions

get past the grave
get ready for the next life

or rot in a box
