This is beyond the elections.
Please...do not bring up the elections.

I would like to understand how you guys feel about the banking élites, the Jekyll Island Group, Warburg, JP Morgan, etc..etc...

Please don't make me list them all.

Merci beaucoup for your replies. :)
Most Americans have no idea at all what or who those people are. We go to the grocery store and see hundreds of different brands of items and we think "Ain't free enterprise wonderful! All these companies competing with each other for my patronage, keeping the prices low and the value high!".

But of course we are oblivious to the fact that a few giant corporate conglomerates own nearly ALL of those brands, and the diversity and competition we think we see is all just a charade. In fact, they even own the grocery store chain we're standing in, and thereby are controlling what products that get sold there. Then we can't understand it when they price-gouge the crap out of us for everything in the store. We can't understand why we can't save any money, or ever get ahead. Why our quality of life keeps deteriorating even though we live in the richest most productive economy in the world. The politicians all tell us it's the other party's fault so they can stay in office and keep riding the corporate bribery gravy train. And keep protecting those giant conglomerates while they continue to rob us all blind.

And 'blind' is the operative word. Because as big and powerful as those corporate conglomerates are, they make sure they are never mentioned in the news, media, or by all the politicians they own. They keep themselves out of sight and out of mind. While they continue to amass billions of dollars, and ever more power and influence all across the globe.

Jefferson said:

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency first by inflation then by deflation the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered... I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs

Americans never read Thomas Jefferson's writings. Or any other writings of the founding fathers of their own country. Most have never read the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution of the United States. And they are not being taught any of these things in the schools, anymore. Sadly, this is by design. Because the wealthy overlords that now run the nation have decided that school is for creating good functional workers for them to exploit. Not for creating educated citizens that might question the virtue of allowing these greedy overlords to continue running things.

Greedy capitalist overlords still provide results
better than any alternative you've yet proffered.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
You have some strange information sources. That's probably the problem here with Trumpers.
Republicans are going to be linked to corporations more than Democrats are.
For instance, Democrats want corporate taxes raised, Republicans do not.
That should tell you which party is more entrenched with the deep state corporate elites.
Democrats are more focused on worker policies while Republicans are focused on corporate policies.
Maybe some day you will realize that corporations don't pay taxes. Ever.

We do when that expense is passed on to the consumers.

It's a very convenient back door way to raise taxes on the middle class.

But I get the distinct impression that Democrats think people are just too stupid to notice that.

That's the typical unoriginal talking point. It's the type of talking point a corporation would feed the masses.
Corporations and top earners should have higher taxes than normal people. You're against that policy.

If it's good for the middle and lower classes, Republicans will be against it
