My School of Psionics

I am starting a school for the psionic disciplines. I'm sure there are plenty of willing students around the globe, but I'm looking for teachers. This is in the interest of both education and science, I'd like a few skeptics to help out (Spinkles? You out there? ).

We are interested in research as well, if anyone can help in that regard.

I recognize the fact that PK is individual. Thus, tests would be based on the individual. There could be teachers who watch over a few students at a time, training them to become teachers themselves.

I think this is the only way to raise our abilities higher. We must make psionics into a discipline, a study, rather than just a self-learned or inborn skill. With each new teacher we make, we can make more.

We could have regular classes, on set dates. Not only in PK, but in TP, EP, and other skills. Imagine creating actual "credentials"! We could have registered teachers for each skill! In our databanks we could have the locations of every member, so that teachers could teach students (possibly) physically, in the same area.

I'm convinced that we could heighten our abilities to a higher level through the use of such a system.

If you feel that you are able to teach, please, tell me your area of specialty. I have a forum almost completed.

Teachers are needed in these areas:

Psychokinesis
Telepathy
Empathy
Clairvoyence
Precognition
Psi-movement and Shaping (Shields, Balls, and Other Constructs)
Astral Projection
Extraplanar Beings
(Suggestions Welcome)

I'm probably going to make Basic Psi-Movement and Shaping a necessary course to complete before the others become open.

Suggestions of any kind are welcome, and teachers are certainly welcome! Students need not apply yet, wait until I have a good teacher base, and have asked them how many students are appropriate.

Whilst I have a good background in teaching (tutor for 3 years, mentor for 6), I'm afraid I lack the necessary knowledge to help out in the teaching of a psionics class. However, I'm always glad to try knew things so... if I can help in other ways let me know .

I know I'm very much interested in being a student. Of the subjects listed, I really only know about empathy, and what I do know is limited to trying to control mine. I wish I could offer to be a teacher, but I doubt spirit animals or guides fall under the category...

Thank you both for the replies. Both of you could help out in the beginning by helping me design a forum. I've got the forum made, now I need to add categories and sub-categories. If you want, you coul help in design and moderation of the forum.

Fluffy, would you be able to help me design a feasible "curriculum" for the listed subjects? It will have to be flexible, able to fit both student and teacher. We could do this in correspondance, through e-mail, or through a chat service.

Feathers, Spirit Animals and Guides fall well within the realm of psionics. That reminds me to add another subject, "Astral Projection". In psionics, we except the existence of beings in other planes of existence, and these beings are what humans term Spirit Animals/Guides. Working with these beings is a discipline of psionics; I'd be glad to have you as a teacher, for the subject of "Extraplanar Beings" (Or termed as you see fit).

My favourite is psychometry. I'm not sure if that would fit into one of the categories you mentioned or not. Maybe clairvoyance?

Also, If I may, I'd like to suggest that you have something available on meditation, since, at least in my experience, meditation is a big part of developing these skills.

You are a clairvoyent? I must admit, I know very little beyond definitions for both psychometry and clairvoyence. But teachers are always welcome. Sign up and send me details on what you are willing to teach. After that, we'll work together to design a curriculum.

On a side note, when you join, remember that there are more styles to the website than the default (ugly) one. Try a few out by selecting them in your profile. I recommend "Solaris".

That's odd. I got a little message saying that the Admin would be having to process the thing. It sounds like there's something else happening in your case. Maybe Druidus can fix it when he gets back?
