My Vision From God, What Does it Mean?

Christ's Lamb

~Catholic Mystic~
Hello friends,
I'm new here - loving the site I must say! I recently had a vision from God and need a little help on what it means. I don't need any trolls commenting stupid crap, so crap will be ignored. Only honest answers please!

In my vision, I was in a wonderful, grassy place with bright, bright, bright colors. There was a thrown with Jesus siting on it. Next to him there was a human-headed bull with wings of a bird. I stood in front of the thrown and the creature, along with many others. To the left of me was Saint Paul.

The creature spoke to me and said, "Your time is called the "Age of Man" where man will glorify God by helping his fellow man and truly knowing the good news. You will pour out the water, that is wisdom, on the Earth, but remember what you pour out is just wisdom and what Christ will pour out is living water."

This is weird because a few months before I prayed to God for love, knowledge, and wisdom. What does this mean? What is the "Age of Man"? What do you guys think?

If this is indeed a vision from God (which you should spend a lot of time discerning if it is or not, BTW), then it would seem that you have a calling to evangelization and/or ministry. Pray for discernment in this matter. If you have a spiritual father, pastor, priest or mentor, discuss this dream/vision of yours with them and get their input.

What would I say to my priest? I'm Catholic by the way. I actually had three visions. The first one was of a dove descending on me with light so pure, and perfect. I was filled with happiness, so much so I was shaking cause it felt so good. The dove turned into a man. The second was the one above and the third God told me that some visions come from him but not all visions come from him, and then I felt myself being held down by the devil and him whispering into my ears telling me that I was his, but I kept on saying, "You cant touch me, for I am Christ's!" and he went away.

I know what the other two mean, but the one above it the one I cant understand.

Your vision strengthens my faith. Jesus was explaining that the only way to please God is to spread altruism and love (by helping his fellow man). Besides we have to be conscious of the immense value of human nature. We all are unrepeatable and unique beings, so we are supposed to use our creativity to change the world into a better place.
The age of man is the age in which we humans give more value to our neighbor , rather than God. Because God doesn't want to be adored. He wants us to love our neighbor as much as we love God.

Well, I think what you said is partially right. I don't think humans should but more value on other humans, even more value than God. But rather, God dwells within us all, thus if you help your fellow man, you are glorifying God because just the act of helping man is glorifying God. God dwells within us all, that is what it means when scripture says "ye are gods." We all have a piece of the Word and Breath of God. The Word incarnated into Jesus of Nazareth. The Breath of God is the Holy Spirit. The Father is the one who dwells in heaven and created the world by speaking it into existence, using his "breath and word."

God created the world for this glory, not that he wants to be above everything, but rather because he wants every bit of his creation to enjoy their existence with him. Humans were created in the image of God, so it is not that one has more value than the other, rather we each have the same amount of value.

I kinda got what you meant, but just wanted to clarify a few things just to make sure.

-God bless

Visions are manifestations from our deepest subconscious mind aware of the presence and knowledge of God at all times. As this comes through to conscious awareness it speaks, or you can say God speaks to us through this in symbolic forms which have significance to us in touching into a realization beyond our immediate awareness, taking us higher as it were. The forms they take are not the important part, but what is evoked within is. In other words, what you see this way is something for you to explore within and let unfold as it is over time as you move deeper into it. Others can tell you what they think it means, but ultimately it's your own realization of what it means that holds the truth of it to you. It's not something someone can tell you, as its not something that is external to you, and consequently us.

My own personal experience, what this evokes in me in my own experiences in how things like this arise is to understand that there is a flow, and exchange of divine radiant light and being that flows from the divine to the world, and from the world to the divine. It flows to all things, through all things in return to Source, in and endless exchange of Love, to and from and through. It flows to all forms, through each manifestation, in a cycle of light and joy. The 'age of man' to me is simply to say, experience the Divine to its fullest realization in human form. Awaken all living beings to this Light. Communicate to your fellow humans this Joy, that they may know it in themselves as you awaken to it in yourself. It lives and moves through everyone and and everything, and to awaken to it is to be that Light in the flesh, as human. Just as the flowers, the lilies of the field exchange their glory from God and to God.

Ponder your visions in your heart. Meditate on them in silence, and listen. BTW, the "devil" is really a projection of your own fear deep within of letting go of your clinging to yourself in fear of release into God. As it arises, simply look at it and know it is yourself, then speak to it as a fearful child that all is well, be at peace, then gently release it. Eventually, all there is, is God to you.

Thanks, I will do this then. Any ideas on how I should go about "awakening all living beings to this light"?

Yes. First focus on knowing God in yourself. Develop the knowledge of that Love which is yours through God. This is done in many practical ways, but the greatest is prayer. But by prayer, I mean not so much petitions, but communion in Spirit. Meditation or Contemplative prayer. I would recommend learning about Father Thomas Keating's Centering Prayer approach. Though I have not read her book on it, I know Cynthia Bourgeault's work and teaching and would recommend on that alone: Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening: Cynthia Bourgeault: 9781561012626: Amazon.com: Books

The reason this is the first place to begin comes to Jesus' teaching that in order to fulfill the Law, or Will of God, you must first "Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.". It is the Source of that Love that fills us, and subsequently as a result of that Light within, it flows outward into the world and we consequently, "Love your neighbor as yourself", that is to say, as an extension of ourselves, connected with that Light within us though our connection and knowledge of God. The more you know God, the more you are that Light in the world in yourself, and God lives and shines through you.

So that is the first and greatest action on this path. Self-surrender to God. It leads to transformation into the Image of God within. And then, acting as that Image, the Divine flows through you to all living beings. And this occurs within prayer, within that communion of Spirit and Mind with yours, where you are transformed in heart, mind, and soul to the Will of God, and God moves through you touching out into the world in prayer. This is something you must experience to understand. Then as your life becomes transformed through such practice, as you live in the daily world, it becomes the heart and soul of your very being in the flesh, and through the flesh you see and touch all other souls. You become living light, so to speak. So it is in prayer, from with you, and in the world in the flesh, from within you.

To attempt to do these things from ourselves, without that renewing of mind and soul through practice, is to only rise as high as our own efforts can reach, which falls short. "Not as the world gives, I give you". We have to first allow our own minds to be transformed into that Light. Then, it all becomes apparent. The work for you, and for everyone, is learning to allow. It is learning to overcome fear of being overwhelmed by the Divine. And this is where faith comes in. Faith is not really very much a mental belief in something, but rather it is a trust in God that you will not die, that you will not be consumed by surrender to His Light. It is through the purity of our intent, that we are not consumed.

This is a challenge for most, if not all of us, at first anyway. It is trusting what is shown to you, not trying to figure it out with the mind, but rather understanding with the soul. It's all there already for all of us, and not something "out there" outside of us. It is only "outside" our current apprehension, but deep within, in what seems the size of a grain of sand, is the entire unfolding of the Divine. It is never outside us, but only hidden by ourselves with the mind. We pull back the curtain, rend the veil in the temple from top to bottom with an unseen hand, and expose God to ourselves and to the world. We rend the "flesh" of our own bodies, to speak metaphorically, and expose God. We lay down our flesh, and rise transformed.

This is a path of commitment.

Thank you for sharing your vision. A very powerful one! I won't try to interpret your vision, but I do know it is just a first step. A vision is a spur to action. Without action your vision will remain just a vision.

Yes, you are right. I am already taking action on my vision, but I feel I need to do more action then what I did so far. So its still not over, but with time.

Fatalist. Christian. Pacifist.
Seems fairly simple. Determine what wisdom is, and give it. The living water is the Holy Spirit; the Spirit producing good fruit.

God has given to us the gift of time. It is our responsibility to use it properly: to learn as much as we can and use what we learn to help others. I do know the more you act the less effort it takes to act, and the more you follow your purpose the less you need to push and the more you get pulled by it.
