The translation of this hadith is:

"Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari said: 'I entered upon Fatimah (peace be upon her), and before her was a tablet on which were the names of the successors from her progeny. I counted twelve (Names), the last of them being the Qa'im (the Riser). Three of the names were Muhammad, and four of them were Ali.'"

Can you solve the name of the Qaim, from this Hadith?

Here are some hints from this Hadith:

1. The complete name of the Qaim was on this Tablet.
2. There are Twelve names, on the Tablet (not 12 Imams)
3. The first Imam (Imam Ali), is not among them, because the Hadith says: the successors from her progeny (من ولده)

4. Here are the known names of Shia Imams who are from Fatima's progeny

2. Hasan son of Ali
3. Husayn son of Ali
4. Ali son of Husayn
5. Muhammad son of Ali (محمد بن علي) (al-Baqir)
6. Ja'far son of Muhammad (جعفر بن محمد) (al-Sadiq)
7. Musa son of Ja'far (موسى بن جعفر) (al-Kadhim)
8. Ali son of Musa (علي بن موسى) (al-Ridha)
9. Muhammad son of Ali (محمد بن علي) (al-Jawad)
10. Ali son of Muhammad (علي بن محمد) (al-Hadi)
11. Hasan son of Ali (الحسن بن علي) (al-Askari)

12. (al-Mahdi or the Qa'im) ??

Puzzle: what is the name of the 12th Imam?

It has names of the successors from her offspring. That's the general rule.

It also has the name of Ali (a) as the first successor. You are a follower of caprice and seeker of ambiguity. The twelve names he counted included Imam Ali (a).

6-1 Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Taliqani narrated that Al-Hussein ibn Isma’il quoted on the authority of Abu Amro Sa’eed ibn Muhammad ibn Nasr al-Qat’tan, on the authority of Ubaydillah Muhammad al-Salami, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abdul Rahim, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sa’eed ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Al-Abbas ibn Abi Amro, on the authority of Sadaqa ibn Abi Musa, on the authority of Abi Nadhra, “When Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (s) was about to pass away, he called in his son - As-Sadiq (s) to entrust him with the Trusteeship. His brother Zayd ibn Ali (s) told him, “I think it would not have been improper if you had treated us like Al-Hassan (s) and Al-Hussein (s) . Then there would be no fear that you will be denied.” He (s) said, “O Abul Hassan! What is entrusted cannot be dealt with by using examples. His decrees do not depend on traditions. These are things that have been totally set from before the birth of the Divine Proofs of God (the Imams) the Exalted the Sublime.” Then he called in Jabir ibn Abdullah and told him, “O Jabir! Tell us about the sheet that you saw yourself.” Then Jabir told him (s), “O Aba Ja’far! Yes. I went to see the Blessed Lady Fatima - my master - the daughter of God’s Prophet (s) to congratulate her upon the birth of Al-Hussein (s).There was a silvery-white pearl brilliant sheet of paper in her hands. I told her, “O Master of all Women! What is this sheet that I see you have?” She (s) said, “The names of the Imams who are going to be from my progeny are written on it.” I said, “Give it to me to look at.” She (s) said, “O Jabir! I would have surely done so if it was not forbidden to do so. However, it is forbidden for anyone but the Prophet (s), the Prophet’s Trustee or a Member of the Holy Household to touch it. You are only allowed to look at it from the outside.” Jabir added, “It said, ‘Abul Qasim Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Mustafa (the Prophet) whose mother is Amina, Abul Hassan Ali ibn Abi Talib al-Morteza whose mother is Fatima - the daughter of Asad ibn Hashem ibn Abd Manaf, Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Barr, Abu Abdullah Al-Hussein ibn Ali At-Taqi whose mother is (the Blessed Lady) Fatima - the daughter of Muhammad, Abu Muhammad Ali ibn Al-Hussein al-Adl whose mother is Shahr Banu - the daughter of Yazd Gird, Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir whose mother is Umm Abdullah - the daughter of Al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, Abu Abdullah Ja’far ibn Muhammad As-Sadiq whose mother is Umm Farwa - the daughter of Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr, Abu Ibrahim Musa ibn Ja’far whose mother is a slave maid called Hamidah al-Mosaffat, Abul Hassan Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha (s) whose mother is a slave maid called Najma, Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn Ali al-Zak’ki whose mother is a slave maid called Khayzaran, Abul Hassan Ali ibn Muhammad Al-Amin whose mother is a slave maid called Susan, Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Rafiq whose mother is a slave maid called Samanah and whose nickname is Ummul Hassan, Abul Qasim Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan (s) who is the Riser (Imam al-Mahdi) - the Proof of God - whose mother is a slave maid called Narjis. May God’s Blessings be upon them all.’”The author of this book (Sheikh Sadooq) said, This tradition has been narrated this way by mentioning the name of the Riser (s). However, I think that it is not proper to mention his name - may God bless him.

6-2 My father and Muhammad ibn Al-Hassan ibn Ahmad ibn al-Waleed narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Ja’far al-Hemyari quoted on the authority of Abil Khayr Salih ibn Abi Hammad and Al-Hassan ibn Dharif, on the authority of Bakr ibn Salih who narrated the following tradition. Also my father, Muhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Mutawakkil, Muhammad ibn Ali Majiluwayh, Ahmad ibn Ali ibnIbrahim ibn Hashem, Al-Hussein ibn Ibrahim ibn Tatana and Ahmad ibn Ziyad ibn Ja’far al-Hamadani - may God be pleased with them - narrated that Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashem quoted on the authority of his father, on the authority of Bakr ibn Salih, on the authority of Abdul Rahman ibn Salim, on the authority of Abi Basir, on the authority of Abi Abdullah (as-Sadiq) (s), “My father (s) told Jabir ibn Abdullah Al-Ansari, ‘I have something to do with you in private. When is the most convenient time for you to come so that I may ask you something?’ Jabir replied to him (s), ‘Whenever you please.’ Then my father (s) met him in private and told him, ‘O Jabir! Tell me about the tablet which you saw in the hands of my mother (the Blessed Lady) Fatima - the daughter of God’s Prophet (s), and what my mother told you about what is recorded in it in writing.’ Jabir said, ‘I take God as a witness that I went to see your mother (the Blessed Lady) Fatima during the lifetime of God’s Prophet (s) to congratulate her upon the birth of Al-Hussein (s). Then I saw a green tablet in her hand which I thought to be emeralds. In it there were white writings which were as brilliant as sunshine. I told her, ‘O daughter of God’s Prophet (s)! May my mother and father be your ransom! What is this tablet?’ She (s) replied, ‘This is a tablet which God the Exalted the Sublime has bestowed upon His Messenger (s). In it there are the names of my father, my husband, my two sons, and the names of the Trustees from my progeny. My father (s) gave it to me to make me happy.’ Jabir added, ‘Then your mother (the Blessed Lady) Fatima gave it to me. I read it and wrote down a copy of it.’”Then Imam As-Sadiq (s) added, “My father (s) asked, ‘O Jabir! Can you show it to me?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ Then my father accompanied him to Jabir’s house where Jabir brought a sheet made of skin for my father and said, ‘I take God as a witness that this is what I saw written on that tablet, ‘In the Name of God the Beneficent, the Merciful. This is a writing from God the Honored the Wise to Muhammad - His Light, His Messenger and His Veil, and His Reason which has been descended upon him by the Trustworthy Spirit from the Lord of the Two Worlds. O Muhammad! Exalt My Names. Be grateful for My Blessings. Do not deny. Indeed I am God. There are no gods other than Me. I am the Defeater of the Tyrants, the Humiliator of the Oppressors! The Owner of the Religion. Indeed I am God. There are no gods other than Me. I will punish whoever places hopes in others but Me or fears things other thanMy Chastisement in such a way that no one in the Two Worlds has been punished. Thus worship Me alone, and rely only on Me. Whenever I appoint a Prophet and his time ends I appoint a Trustee for him. I have made you superior over the other Prophets, and have made your Trustee (The first Divine Leader) superior over the other Prophet’s Trustees. I have honored you with two lion cubs after him - your two grandsons Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein. I have established Al-Hassan (The second Divine Leader) as the Treasure-Mine of My Knowledge after the expiration of the term of his father. I have established Al-Hussein (The second Divine Leader) as the storehouse of My Revelations. I have honored him with the Martyrdom, and have perfected Prosperity for him. He is the noblest of the martyrs. He holds the highest rank of the martyrs near Me. And I have entrusted him with My Perfect Word, and I have left the Complete Proof near him. I give rewards and chastisements by his kinship - the first of whom is Ali (The fourth Divine Leader)- the Master of the Worshippers and the adornment of the previous Trustees. His son (Muhammad) - the praised one - is like his grandfather. He is Muhammad Al-Baqir - the analyzer of My Knowledge and the Treasure House of My Wisdom. Those who doubt Ja’far will be destroyed. Whoever rejects him has indeed rejected Me

. I say the right thing. I highly honor Ja’far (The sixth Divine Leader). I will make him happy regarding his followers, companions and friends. I have appointed Musa (The seventh Divine Leader) after him. After him there will be a short period of dark sedition, although there will not be a breach of Divine Leadership. My Proof will not remain hidden and the Trustees will not suffer. Beware that whoever denies any of them has indeed denied Me. Whoever changes any of the verses of My Book has indeed ascribed lies to Me. Woe be to those who ascribe lies and those who deny! Whoever denies the eighth (Divine Leader Al-Ridha) after the duration of the Leadership of Musa - My Servant, Friend and Appointed One - is over, has indeed denied all My Trustees. Ali is My Trustee and Helper. He is the one on whose shoulders I will place the burden of Prophethood and grant him power. A haughty wicked fellow (al-Ma’mun) will murder him and bury him in a town that is established by a good servant next to My worst creature. I say the right thing. I will make him happy by his successor after him Muhammad (The ninth Divine Leader) - his son. He is the inheritor of My Knowledge and the Treasure-house of My Wisdom. He is the site of My Secrets and My Proof for My creatures. Ihave established Heaven as his place and have accepted his intercession on behalf of seventy members of his family who have all become sure to burn in the Fire. And I will end the affairs of his son Ali (The tenth Divine Leader) - My Trustee and Helper, a Witness over My creatures, and My Entrusted with My Revelations - with prosperity. I will bring about Al-Hassan (The eleventh Divine Leader) from him - a caller to My Path and the Treasure-house of My Knowledge. Then I will complete Divine Leadership with his son (The twelfth Divine Leader)- Mercy for the people of the two Worlds. He will possess the Perfection of Moses, the Illumination of Jesus, and the Patience of Jacob. My friends will be belittled during his time. Their heads will be given to others as gifts like the heads of the Turks and the Daylams (Who were opposed to Islam) were. They will be killed and burnt. They will be in fear. The Earth will turn red from their shed blood. Their women will cry and mourn. They are truly My friends. I will fend off all oppressive seditions by them. I will fend off any earthquakes by them. I will eliminate any hardships and burdens by them. They are the ones on whom is the Blessings and Mercy from their Lord. They are the guided ones.’”Abdurrahman ibn Salim said that Abu Basir said, “If you had not even heard any traditions in all your life, just this one is enough for you. Therefore, guard it from all but those for whom it is meant.”

6-3 And Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan ibn Hamza Al-Alawi - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Abu Ja’far Muhammad ibn Al-Hussein ibn Dorost al-Saravi quoted on the authority of Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Malik, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Imran al-Kufi, on the authority of Abdurrahman ibn Abi Najran and Safwan ibn Yahya, on the authority of Ishaq ibn Ammar that Abi Abdullah (s) asked him, “O Ishaq! Do you want me to give you glad tidings?” He replied, “O grandson of the Prophet of God! May God sacrifice me for you! Yes.” He (s) said, “We have a sheet dictated by God’s Prophet (s) and recorded in the handwriting of the Commander of the Faithful (s) in which it is written, ‘In the Name of God the Beneficent, the Merciful. This is a Book from God the Honorable the All-Knowing.’ Then he narrated the rest of the tradition as it was recorded in the previous one except at the end of it he said, “Then As-Sadiq (s) said, O Ishaq! This is the religion of the angels and the Messengers. Protect it from those to whom it does not belong. May God the Sublime safeguard and improve your conditions.” Then he (s)added, “God the Exalted the Honorable will save from the Fire whoever brings faith in these issues.”

It has names of the successors from her offspring. That's the general rule.

It also has the name of Ali (a) as the first successor. You are a follower of caprice and seeker of ambiguity. The twelve names he counted included Imam Ali (a).

You are ignoring what Hadith says.

It says, there were twelve names on the Tablet. The names of successors from progeny of Fatmah. Which are 11.

Now, i understand why you are confused.
Because you think, when it says 12, it must mean 12 Imams. Wrong.
12 names. Exclude First Imam.
That means, the 11 Imams that are progeny of Fatimah, have 12 names.

How?

If you had read Hadithes, you would have known that, All Imams have a single name, except for the Qaim, who has Two names.

Have you not read the Hadithes that says He has two names?

Thus, from 2nd Imam to the 11th Imam, there are 11 names, as each of them, have a single name. Thus, total of 10 names. The last one has two names. Total of twelve names.

Now solve the puzzle If you can.

Let me remond this Hadith, recorded in Bihar, vol 51:

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said:

“One tradition, which you comprehend well, is better than ten you narrate. Verily, every truth has a reality and every veracity has an illumination.” Then he said: “We, by Allah, do not consider a man from our Shia to be a Faqih unless when he is addressed through hints and allusions, he understands them.

Don't forget. The Hadithes have hints and allusions. So, you need to use your mind and solve them, so, you may discover truth. It seems, you take everything too simple.

This is a summary of Jaber who narrated to many people. If he one time said "offspring", as a generalization, it won't do away with the many other hadiths from him as well. I'm quoting the many other hadiths of the Tablet. This is just from Uyoon alAKbar Reda (a). There is in fact many more.

You are obtuse.

Yeah there Jaber (r) says the "name of the Awsiya" which includes Ali (a). Do you know generalizations are allowed. So Jaber can say it's (almost all) from her offspring. It's normal. Everyone understands Imam Ali (a) is included in the Twelve.

But let's say it was what you implied. Jaber (r) then made a mistake in how he summarized. But the other hadiths show he didn't always do that. So to hold one out of the many times he explained the tablet, is wrong.

Remember following clear of hadiths too. You are doing it again, following unclear and ambiguity.

It say

Do you understand what that means?
From her children. Imam Ali, was not one of her children. It was her husband.

You are obtuse dude.

Again you ignore my post.

I said Qaim has two names. Not one name.

Anyways, write the twelve names, and show, what are those twelve names, and then count, the number of Ali"s and Muhammad's.

Will you?

Can you keep up a logical conversation please?

Jaber (r) is fallible. If he summarized it wrong (which I think it's okay the way he said in that hadith) in one time but said the right thing many other times, you can't just pick the one time he screwed up.

Also, look at when he quotes Fatima (a):

H 108 - Narrated to me a group of scholars from Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Sufyan Bazufari from Abu Ali Ahmad bin Idris and Abdullah bin Ja’far Himyari from Abul Khair Salih bin Abul Hammad Razi and Hasan bin Zarif all together narrate from Bakr bin Salih from Abdur Rahman bin Saalim from Abu Basir that Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) said: My father, Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) said to Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari: ‘I have some work with you. So, when would it be possible for you to give me some time so that I may ask you something?’ Jabir replied, ‘Whenever you wish.’ Thus, when my father (a.s) met him in privacy, he (a.s) asked, “O Jabir! Tell me about the Tablet, which you saw with my mother, Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (s) and what did she tell you as to what was written in it?” Jabir replied, ‘I hold Allah as witness that I went to visit your mother, Fatima (a.s) during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (s) to congratulate her for Husain’s birth. I saw in her hand a green Tablet, which I thought to be of emerald and its writing was as bright as sunlight. I asked her, ‘May my parents be sacrificed for you, O daughter of Allah’s Messenger (s)! What is this Tablet?’ She (s) replied, “This is the Tablet, which Allah, Mighty and Glorified be He, has gifted to the Messenger of Allah (s). In it is the name of my father, the name of Ali, the name of my two sons and the names of the successors from my progeny. In turn, my father gave it to me so that I may rejoice through it.” Jabir said, ‘Thus, your mother Fatima (a.s) gave it to me. I read it and copied it.’ My father (a.s) asked, “O Jabir! Can you show it (the copied manuscript) to me?” He replied in the affirmative. My father (a.s) accompanied Jabir to his house, where he took out a book from a parchment and giving it to my father said, ‘I hold Allah as witness that this is what I saw written in the Tablet: [Text of the Tablet of Fatima (Lauh Fatima)] In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful This is a Book from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise to Muhammad, His light, His ambassador, His veil and His proof. The trustworthy spirit (Jibraeel) has descended with it from the Lord of the worlds. O Muhammad! Magnify my names, be grateful for My bounties and do not deny My endowments. Verily I am Allah; there is no god, but Me, the Destroyer of the oppressors, the Degrader of the tyrants and the Establisher of the Day of Judgment. Verily I am Allah, there is no god, but Me. Whoever expects grace from other than Me or fears other than My justice and My punishment, I will punish him in such a way that I will not punish anybody in this manner in the worlds. Hence, worship only Me and rely only on Me. Indeed, I did not raise a messenger, completed his days and terminated his duration, but that I appointed for him a successor. Certainly, I made you superior over all other Prophets and made your successor superior over all other successors. After him, I honored you with your two grandsons: Hasan and Husain. I made Hasan the mine of My knowledge after the end of the days of his father and I made Husain the treasure-chest of My revelation, honored him with martyrdom and sealed it for him with eternal bliss. So, he is the best of the martyrs and the highest of them in grade before Me. I have placed My perfect word with him and the complete proof near him. Through his progeny, I shall reward and I shall punish. The first of them is the chief of the worshippers and the adornment of My past friends, then his son (Muhammad), who resembles his grandfather al-Mahmud , the splitter of My knowledge and the mine of My wisdom. Soon, those who doubt concerning his son, Ja’far will be destroyed. He who rejects him has rejected Me. I speak the truth, I will indeed honor the position of Ja’far and make him happy vis-à-vis his Shias, his helpers and his friends. After him, I have selected Musa and there will be a blinding, dark corruption so that the spark of My obedience is not terminated, My proof is not hidden and My friends are not afflicted with misfortune. Beware! Whoever denies even one of them, he has denied My bounty. Whoever changes one verse from My Book, then indeed he has attributed a lie unto Me. Then woe unto the liars, the deniers with the termination of the duration of My servant, My beloved and My chosen one, Musa. Verily, the one who denies the eighth is as if he has denied all My friends (Imams). Ali is My friend, My helper and the one, upon whom I have placed Prophethood’s burden of proof and conferred upon him mastership. An arrogant devil will murder him. He will be buried in a city, which the righteous servant has built, next to the worst of My creatures. I speak the truth; I will soothe his eyes with Muhammad, his son and his successor after him. He is the heir of My knowledge, the mine of My wisdom, the place of My joy and My proof upon My creatures. None shall believe in him, but that Paradise will be his abode and I will allow him to intercede for seventy of his family members, even if all of them are eligible for Hell. I will complete his bliss with his son Ali, My friend, My helper, My witness amongst My creatures and My trustee upon My revelation. From him, I will bring forth Hasan, the caller to My path and the treasurer of My knowledge. Thereafter, I will complete this (chain of Imamate) with his son, M-H-M-D, mercy for the worlds. He will possess the perfection of Musa, the brightness of Isa and the patience of Ayyub. Soon, My friends will be humiliated in his time and their heads will be gifted as trophies like the heads of Turks and Daylamites. They will be killed, they will be burnt, they will live in a state of fear, terror and trepidation. The earth will be colored with their blood and wailing and sobbing will be commonplace among their womenfolk. They are My true friends! Through them, I will repel all blinding and dark mischief, remove the earthquakes and do away with the burdens and the chains. They are those upon them is the blessing of their Lord and mercy. And they are the guided ones. Abdur Rahman bin Saalim said: Abu Basir says, ‘If you do not hear in your time anything, but this tradition, it will suffice for you. Hence, conceal it, except from those who are worthy of it.’

"He will be known as Abu al-Qasim and he has two names: Khalaf and Muhammad. He will appear at the end of times, and above his head will be a cloud providing shade from the sun, which will move with him wherever he goes, calling out in a clear voice: 'This is the Mahdi.'"

He has two names.
What are those two names?

If you read this Hadith, you would know.

Khalaf means a Successor. If you get the hint, it means, the Qaim's name consisted of two Names.
One is the name of a Successor and another Name is Muhammad.

Now, Muhammad is well known. it is announced.
But the first name that comes before Muhammad is not announced. It is only Hinted. You understand what "Hint" means?

Now, can you tell me, what is the other name?

If you do not. I can show you from another Hadith and a verse of the Quran, what the other name is.
