Guru Nanak's Gurpurb this year is on November 6th and is approaching within the next week. Anyone have any exciting plans or planing to visit the Gurdwara?

"Guru Nanak Gurpurab also known as Guru Nanak's Prakash Utsav and Guru Nanak Jayanti, celebrates the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak.[2] This is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism.[3] Apart from Sikhs, Hindus and other followers of Guru Nanak's philosophy also celebrate this festival"

I have been meaning to visit the Guru Ravidass Sabha in Pittsburg, which isn't really Sikh, but it's been crazy of late though I did drive over during a weekday only to find the main gate closed.

But in regards to this Sikh celebration, while Nov 6th won't work since it is a Thursday, probably the following Saturday or Sunday I will go to the huge Gurdwara in Fremont for visiting and enjoying lunch in the community adjunct at the temple. Here is their contact info:

In Delhi, the celebrations extends for weeks. Each Gurudwara takes out procesions in the locality on successive Sundays, Food, snacks and sweat drinks are offered along the rout by Sikhs and Hindus. There are disruptions of traffic. We escaped a jam narrowly in the evening. But that is routine.
