National Parks

Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite its wealth of natural treasures, has chosen to eternally protect very few of them. These are the protected National Parks and National Lakes in the country:

What's worse - all but one of the national parks was protected as an important WWII battle field... they weren't protected for their nature.

But they were still good choices. Sutjeska has one of the oldest forests in Europe, one of two surviving of their type I believe.

Wow, that's very unfortunate. I hope that changes in the years to come.

What are the gray Jezera patches then?
