Naturalism and the Mystic

What relationship, if any, is there between the views of various mystics such as the Buddha and Lao-Tzu, on the one hand, and naturalism, on the other hand?

Do the views of any mystics resemble either methodological or metaphysical naturalism?

I love the topic, but I'm not an expert on methodological or metaphysical naturalism, so don't feel qualified to speak on that.

I do, however, rarely miss the chance to speak so here it goes ;)

Perhaps the mystics/sages/wise ones of long ago compiled or made sense of their inner worlds using the resources around them - nature. We are all nature - always have been, always will. When we get that in our collective heads, the world will be safe. We will act as one and live as one and everyone gets to be happy within the one. We connect to our source and therefore have respect and love for the natural world - which is all there is.

Capiche? Good.:) (I don't think I made any sense, but as I said, I do like to talk.)
