Also, going for a walk half an hour a day is as effective in treating depression as talk therapy and SSRI combined.

Where did you get this? Just curious.
Lecture from a psychiatrist when I was hospitalized. He cited an Australian study which I looked up but can't find at the moment. There are articles online but they don't cite as strong an effect.

I'd like to see those studies please.
Looked again and still can't find them. I guess they were retreated because they couldn't be replicated. What remains undisputed is that exercise (and half an hours walk per day is stated as exercise) can help treat depression. The effectiveness may have been overstated.
